Creating the ideal gaming magazine

Creating the ideal gaming magazine

Video game magazines were a huge part of gaming culture.

They don't have to go extinct due to the Internet.

Some gaming magazine push on, bless them, but let's try to create our own.

I have read a lot of gaming magazines.

Some good, some bad, but I'm keen on making my ideal gaming magazine (my tastes).

This little project of mine will analyse past and present gaming magazines.

We will combine the best parts of each.

This is just a fictional magazine mind, but if someone were to legit make one that'll be awesome.

== Purpose ==

Before we do anything we must consider who the magazine is for.

In this case, gamers. However, we must tailor content towards them.

We must give the reader something they can't get for free online.

Interviews, comics, fan artwork, exclusive content...

To gain a readership we must fill the niche the websites and videos cannot provide.

It's certainly not something you can do with zero budget.

== Starting out ==

To begin, we need lots of starting capital to pay for everything.

Gather a team of talented employees and starry-eyed freelancers.

Team

How many staff you need depend on the scope of the magazine.

We'll be a pretty big magazine, pumping out various content consistently.

Let's not worry about the size of the team; let's just say 'big enough' for simplicity sake.

Names

A catchy name will have eyes on us immediately.

For this magazine example we'll try GameZine Magazine, or GZM.

It's not a good name but this is an example.

Here's a protip: don't change the name of your magazine.

Official UK PlayStation Magazine just changed their name to PLAY.

Yes, the same name as their competitor back in the days. How confusing.

Format

How will the magazine be presented?

Paper form? Digital?

For this magazine example, we will go with digital.

Type

Will our gaming magazine be focused on a specific platform?

Consoles? PC? Mobile? Multiple?

For this magazine example we'll make it a multiformat magazine.

Time

Is our magazine monthly? Bi-monthly? Seasonally?

Monthly is good. Plus we can do an annual issue that's the year-in-review.

Pages

How big will our magazine be?

We should offer a balance of quantity for price and a reasonable limit for the monthly deadline.

I say let's go for 100 pages on average.

Ages

What is our age range? Who is our target demographic?

Since this magazine requires online purchases, let's say 18+.

That gives us a reason to swear and use lewd language... but don't overdo it.

Pricing

The ultimate decision. Who is willing to pay for info they could get for free?

There has to be a balance between affordable price and what will cover costs.

For this magazine example let's go with $5 USD per issue.

Protip: the launch issue should be free to give the people a preview.

Subscription model

How will people be getting a subscription to our magazine?

We should offer a discount when getting magazines in bulk.

Examples:

6 month subscription: $20

12 month subscription: $45

Summation

Name: GameZine Magazine

Format:    Digital

Type: Multiformat

Time: Monthly

Pages: 100 average

Ages: 18+

Price: $5 per issue

Subs: $20 for 6 mo., $45 for 12 mo.

You can see why we need lots of starting capital.

To afford the staff and buy games and only charge $5? We might be running at a loss for a while.

So let's just say we're not in it for profit but fun. Hell we should do it for free, Moneybags.

== Mascot ==

Gaming magazines in the past sometimes had a mascot.

This would be the 'face' of the magazine, to be used in fanart and promo artwork.

I think in this case our magazine won't have a mascot (unless I can think one up).

Mascots in gaming magazines:

* Nester - relatable gaming kid -- Nintendo Power

* Max - dog that does toilet humour -- PlayStation Max

* Sakura - badass anime girl -- GBX

* Banzai Chibi-Chan - red-headed otaku kid -- PSM

== Advertisers ==

The life blood to a magazine. Best we don't piss them off with profane content.

Try to aim for advertisements that fit within what our demographic wants.

Don't be taking ads for frickin' political/religious causes. Go gaming or go home.

== Cover ==

Each issue should have a bold cover that captures attention.

It can't be too busy or it will seem childish and push away viewers.

It can't be too simple or it will seem low effort and not attract viewers.

Magazines with bad covers:

* Edge - too simplistic

* 110% Gaming - too messy

* Hyper - also too messy

Magazines with good covers:

* Retro Gamer - big, bold, and beautiful

* Cube - good use of columns and rows

* PSM - hand drawn covers make them memorable

* GameFan - ditto with the hand drawn covers

Part of what makes a magazine stand out is a recognisable logo.

Our magazine name, GameZine Magazine, should have a flashy logo.

Magazines with good logos:

* Play (UK)

* Nintendo Power

* Edge

* Computer Gaming World

A good way of determining what goes where:

Main space: big features, big name previews and reviews

Banners: lesser previews and reviews, interviews, competitions.

As for the back cover, we might as well leave it for an advertisement.

In the old days of physical format, this could have been a secondary contents page.

In this digital format it could very well be anything, so let there be an ad there.

== Staff page ==

We must be personable and show our readers the staff who created the mag.

Each staff member should have a bio or give an opinion; shape it up every issue!

Also make sure that the Editor's intro is short and sweet.

Magazines with staff profiles:

* Official UK PlayStation Magazine

* Power

* PC Zone

* PC Gamer

* Total Advance

Official Australian PlayStation Magazine #25 and #28
Notice the difference in staff photos, not just copy+pasted each issue.

You may feel tempted to give the staff members weird identities a la GamePro.

I've never liked that. Save the mysterious character for the angry ranter.

== Contents page ==

The feature where we showcase that lies within that issue.

The contents page must be bold and colourful, not boring like a medical book.

Magazines with great contents pages:

* Retro Gamer

* #21-#40 Official Australian PlayStation Magazine

* 1999-2000 Play (UK)

* 2002-2005 Official UK Xbox Magazine

Official Australian PlayStation Magazine issue 27 (October 1999)

A good contents page. Categorized, colour coded, clean and neat.

Official Australian PlayStation Magazine issue 41 (January/February 2001)

A bad contents page. Sloppy, messy, shows no love or flair.

Here are some tips to keep in mind:

* have pictures (preferably small)

* keep things in columns

* clump items in categories (e.g. news, previews, reviews)

* colour coding (you use this in conjunction with categories, such as coloured boxes)

== Content ==

The meat and potatoes of the magazine: news, preview, reviews, interviews, competitions, and more.

Strong writing is advised: a combination of humour, wit, and seriousness.

We are trying to differ from stuffy gaming journalists who only talk in dry sarcasm.

Humour

Anyone can read gaming news and whatnot, so we need to offer the readers choice content.

If we offer content in a humourous way, we'll gather attention and hopefully a readership.

Magazines with good humour:

* Play (UK)

* PlayStation Plus

* PC Zone

* Ultra Game Players

* Total Saturn

Tips on more humourous writing:

* funny image captions

* the editor reacting to weird sentences

* light-hearted jabs at other magazines/websites

Thy key is to show a sense of fun and funniness.

Don't be like Edge magazine, who is so snooty they haven't laughed since 1993.

Style

It's not just what is written, it is how it is presented.

Designers should arrange the artwork and text to create eye-catching pages with flair.

Magazines with too much text:

* Edge

* pre-1998 PlayStation Plus

* Play (US)

Magazines with too much whitespace:

* Edge

* modern Official UK PlayStation Magazine

* PC Gamer

* Play (US)

Magazines with not enough whitespace:

* GamePro

* Ultimate Future Games

* GameFan

Artwork

One way we can differentiate ourselves from other magazines and website is artwork.

Hand-drawn or digitally made, let's add some flair to our pages.

We should also do comics. They're like webcomics but not on the web.

Artwork tips:

* paste little art clipouts to spruce up a page

* pages should haven't a plain white background all the time

* big features need to let artists go wild with design

Comics will be a good way to get readers hooked.

Comics in gaming magazines:

* various games - Nintendo Power (comics based on various Nintendo games)

* The Joypad - Official Australian PlayStation Magazine (3 roommates and gaming culture)

* Dumped - Computer & Video Games (figurines comic with Big Brother voting)

* Osmondle the Frog - Total Advance (comic that lampoons video game tropes)

* Max the Dog - PlayStation Max (childish comic where every strip has a fart joke)

* various comics - PSM (these are often small little comics)

* The Adventures of Monitaur - GameFan (a dramatic comic featuring the staff members)

* Hsu and Chan - Electronic Gaming Monthly (two Asian guys lampoon gaming culture)

* Mode 7 - Play (US) (I've forgotten what this one is)

* Living Online - Computer Gaming World (Scott McCloud's series about the gaming industry)

Drawn artwork is sure to set us apart from the competition.

Drawn artwork:

* drawn Covers - PSM magazine

* staff anime style - GBX magazine

* staff Gorillaz style - Computer & Video Games (2002 era)

* Staff crazy style - GamePro

* Staff cartoony style - Total GameBoy

* drawn Covers + Staff cartoon style - GameFan

Our magazine should allow the community to contribute with their own artwork.

Magazines that show user-submitted artwork:

* Game Informer

* Nintendo Power

* Nintendo Magazine System

* Complete PlayStation Solutions

* GameFan

* Computer and Video Games

* GamePro

== Rumour section ==

This section of the magazine is dedicated to collecting whispers from the gaming industry.

These are the rumours that may one day become previews and reviews.

You can either have this section as a column or a page or half a page.

Magazines with a rumour section mascot:

* Quartermann - Electronic Gaming Monthly

* The Man Who Knows - PC Zone

* The Spy - PC Gamer

* The Mole - Official UK Xbox Magazine

== Essays / Opinion Pieces ==

No one cares about your opinions.

Unless you're a big name like Shigeru Miyamoto, no one will read your opinionated drivel.

If you MUST stand on a soapbox, contain your rant to a column, not a whole page.

Magazines with essays/opinion pieces:

* Edge

* Official UK PlayStation Magazine / PLAY

* PC PowerPlay

* GameOn

* Wireframe

basically all the modern magazines

One thing we can do (maybe) is a page of our staff's thoughts and opinions.

A sentence per thought, a few thoughts each, all bite sized and digestible.

Some magazines have an anonymous angry ranter to voice opinions.

You can have too for your more controversial opinions.

== Politics ==

One of the worst things you can add to a gaming magazine is politics.

These can be in the aforementioned opinion pieces but also in previews and reviews.

PROTIP: be apolitical as possible.

Magazines that got political:

* Edge - gushes about left-wing politics such as feminism and LGBT

* Hyper - was staunchly anti-Gamergate

* PC Zone - whinged about right-wing material

* Official UK PlayStation Magazine / PLAY - had the occasional leftie fit

== Letters ==

Messages sent to the magazine and answered by the editor.

This sort of thing has died out thanks to social media.

No one will write us any letters, or any emails for that matter.

We could use Twitter but we'll get bombarded with trolls.

Maybe it's best we don't have this segment.

== Previews ==

A look at games to come.

Images are a must for this section.

Do more than just 100 words and a single image per game.

Magazines with good preview pages:

* Official UK PlayStation Magazine - has pros, cons, and things to approve

* Games Domain Offline - has a Q+A section for important/silly questions

* PC Zone - lots of images with funny captions at times

For the love of God please separate the Previews and Reviews section.

Don't just jump straight from one to the other.

No, the contents page for the Reviews section doesn't count. Have ads in this gap.

Magazines that don't divide previews and reviews:

* GameOn

* Games Domain Offline

* GamePro

* PSM

* GameFan

* 3DO Magazine

* Next Level

== Reviews ==

One of the big reasons people are reading your magazine.

Writing should be a mixture of informative and humour.

Please don't be verbose: we're informing the reader, not boring them with walls of text.

Magazines with good review pages:

* Play (UK) 1999-2000 -- good use of images and humour and trivia boxes

* Total magazines e.g. Total Advance -- very fun to look at and read

* PlayStation Plus post-1998 -- short and to the point, with funny captions

* GameOn -- good balance of images and text for tablet screens

* PlayStation Pro -- has a graph that shows the reviewer's thoughts over time

* Computer and Video Games -- lots of images, not too much text

Play (UK) issue 50 (July 1999)

A good review. Busy pages of images and humourous text with eye-catching flair. Soul.

Edge issue 357 (May 2021)

A bad review. Boring pages of walls of text, no fun or flair went into it. Soulless.

Magazines with bad review pages:

* Official Australia PlayStation Magazine - walls of text here, jagged screenshots there

* PlayStation Plus pre-1998 - walls of text with dark blurry screenshots with no/bad humour

* Edge - walls of text, no life or soul to the text, barely any images

If your writers can pen punchy quips and silky smooth sentences, readers may actually read them.

Otherwise they'll leap straight to the review score.

Review score system:

* 10 point system - Official PlayStation Magazine, Edge, Games Domain Offline

* Percentage - Play (UK), PlayStation Plus, Ultimate Future Play

* 100 point system - Mean Machines, Total Control, PC Zone

* Decimal point system - Official Xbox Magazine, Electronic Gaming Monthly, Cube

* 5 star system - Computer and Video Games, GBX, PSM

So what to choose?

Anything you like. I prefer the 10 point system, but we can choose anything really.

We have to be fair when reviewing games. No accepting bribes or caving to threats.

Magazines with overly harsh review scores: Edge, PC Gamer

Magazines with overly generous review scores: PSEXtreme, Hobby Consolas

== Hardware reviews ==

We'll definitely be covering every major console of each generation.

Also on the agenda is other contenders like the Stadia (cough).

Since we're covering PC as well, we can also put the latest computer tech to the test.

CPUs, GPUs, water coolers, you name it.

== Interviews ==

One of our main veins of exclusive content.

It doesn't have to be just designers, game directors, and other big cheeses.

We can also interview big-name YouTubers, gaming icons and veterans, insiders, and more.

If you can get Dave Grohl to do an interview, you know you've made it.

Older gaming magazines sometimes did interviews with fictional characters.

We probably won't be doing that.

== Making Of section ==

A pleasant feature of a gaming magazine I insist we should use in ours.

Some people out there are curious of game development, from concept to finished product.

It would indeed be neat to see how much a game changes through development.

Magazines with 'Making of' sections:

* Edge

* GamesMaster

* Retro Gamer

== Hints & Tips ==

The Internet has killed off this sort of content in publication.

Magazines like Expert Gamer and PowerStation went the way of the dodo.

Should we have a page or two (or more) dedicated to hints and tips?

I say no.

We can but it's wholly made redundant by that there aforementioned Internet.

Let's not do walkthroughs. That's what YouTube and GameFAQs is for.

== Miscellaneous ==

We can also fill pages (pad the magazine more like) with meta-gaming news.

Content like:

* speedrunning

* e-sports

* mods

* emulation and hacking (or maybe not if our lawyers say no)

* blunders made by gaming journalists

I consider such topics to be page-fillers.

Helpful to get our 100 page average, but the first to be nixed if we're pressed for time/space.

Actually we should do the gaming journalists blunders because it's funny to laugh at those bozos.

== Readers' submissions ==

Let's make our magazine interactive with submissions from our lovely readers.

Types of reader submitted content:

* funny captions to in-game screenshots

* short reviews for games

* artwork

* cosplay

* reactions to gaming news

== Filler sections ==

Talking about things other than video games in a gaming magazine? Sacre bleu!

It's been done before in other magazines. Should it be done here?

Magazines with non-gaming sections:

* DVD and CDs - Official PlayStation Magazine (1990s/2000s)

* books and DVD and CDs - Edge (1990s/2000s)

* anime - GameFan, Hyper, MAN!AC

* celebrities - Incite Video Gaming

I suppose we can have a listing for these.

For example, what our staff is watching on Netflix and reading.

Not celebrities though because who cares!

Filler content we can try:

* pizza delivery taste-testing

* designing gaming shirts

* models/cosplays in gaming garb

* making gaming-themed baked goods

* reviewing chairs to game on (beanbags, Patrone, etc)

* what food to eat with what genre of game

* top 10/100 lists

* building a gaming PC from scratch (with hilarious results)

(all of the above is content I have seen in other magazines.)

== Competitions ==

Another reason we'll have readers sticking around.

Also another reason we need a sizeable capital to start with.

There should be two types of competitions:

* passive - subscribers are automatically entered

* submission - the readers themselves can enter

Submission type competitions we can have:

* get the most trophies/achievements in a certain period of time

* beat a speedrun record

* complete a speedrun bounty

* creating cool levels in games like Dreams or Doom

* do some crazy things in a game

Types of prizes:

* consoles (e.g. PS5s due to being rare as hens' bollocks these days)

* Amazon gift cards

* PSN and Steam cards and other gaming gift cards

* swag such as cool designer sunglasses, merch signed by celebrities, and more

Gift cards are tied to region, so make it very clear to readers to subscribe with real details.

If they submit their address as Antarctica as a meme, they better not cry when they do win.

== Annual issues ==

Every year our magazine should have an annual issue.

This is the year in review, containing 'best of' content, basically that year's greatest hits.

Also content that didn't make it into the other issues, like cut content.

This special edition issue should come free with 12 month subscriptions.

Seeing as it is special, the price can be raised to say $7.50 or $8 for standalone purchase.

== Final issue ==

It's no fun closing up shop and waving goodbye to an esteemed project such as this.

When the final issue does arrive, give it a tear-jerking sendoff.

Don't let it fizzle away with a standard issue with no fanfare.

One thing you could do is what Nintendo Power did: bring back past writers for a retrospective.

Have a super 'best of' that culminates all the best moments throughout the magazine's lifespan.

Let the community voice their grief too with fanart and heartfelt messages.

== Conclusion ==

Video game magazines shouldn't be dying. If anything I reckon they're due for a comeback.

With the above tips in mind you're sure to pump out dynamite content.

Let's bring back old school styles with current news. It'll be a good one.

Glitches, bugs, and exploits MASTER LIST

Glitches, bugs, and exploits MASTER LIST

This is a collection of glitches, bugs, and exploits in various video games.
I'm not listing all glitches, just ones that are neat, dangerous, or useful for speedrunning.

############################################################

Ape Escape

* Moonslinging:
 - equip the Slingshot. Jump and pull back R3 and then jump, then pull back R3 again and jump again. Alternate between these in a steady pattern and you can ascend upward infinitely.

* Boost Jump:
 - equip the Dash Hoop. Spin it to gain speed, then run. Then press the button assigned to the Dash Hoop and jump. This glitch conserves your momentum, allowing you to make unintended jumps and really up your speedgame.
  ~ to double jump with the boost jump, let go of the left analogue stick before you jump and double jump. This lets you keep the momentum, allowing for even longer jumps.

############################################################

Arbitrary code execution in games

############################################################

Assassin's Creed II:

* Save File corruption:
 - after you complete Sequence 11, the game will autosave. If you turn your console off directly after the autosave, apparently your save file is now only load your hideout and nothing more. To prevent it you can always manually save the game after beating Sequence 11 or turn off the console after another different autosave.

* Air running:
 - equip the knives, start running, and then hold the button that throws the knives. Running off a ledge you will realise you will not be falling. The glitch ends when you let go of the button or change weapons.

* Superblending:
 - this glitch allows you to stay hidden (blended) whilst doing things that would get you caught (like assassinations). Blend in a group of people and climb up a ladder or hang off a ledge or get on your nearby horse. You should be doing those things whilst in the radius of being hidden by them. Now you should still be technically hidden, even though you are away from a group.

* Hyperblending:
 - this glitch is enabled when you are superblending and transition straight into a non-standing posture (like crouching on cables or on rails). This avoids the grace period between standing upright and losing your blended status. With this glitch you can kill your target and remain hidden, even when said target is surrounded by guards.

* Skip memory corridors:
 - memory corridors, the loading screens between memories, can be skipped by repeatedly pausing during the target's death animation. This will skip the cutscene that plays.

############################################################

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

* Levitation // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FPBawBUpdo
 - head into your hideout from the ground floor. Use the fast travel tunnel but back out of the menu without using it. Leave. Now go and tackle someone who isn't standing, like an NPC sitting on a bench. Ezio will be levitating in midair. It has potential for sequence breaking and speedrunning.

* Assassin Recruits glitch:
 - beat Sequence 5 with 100% synch to unlock this cheat. Replay the memory you're on, activate the Ultimate Guild cheat to get the 12 recruits at Assassino rank. The game will disable saving (since it is a cheat). Start playing the memory and then exit the memory replay. You should be able to permanently keep this cheat active outside of a memory replay.

* Keep your unicorn:
 - beat Sequence 1 with 100% Synch to unlock the Ride the Unicorn cheat. Get on your unicorn and then return to the current memory. Then call your horse. The game will give you your last mount ridden, which was the unicorn.

* Tunnel glitch:
 - this nasty glitch occurs when you use a Quick Travel tunnel and get stuck in a loop of de-syncing. This is caused by the game letting you quick travel to closed areas of the game, such as areas blocked off due to being in a mission and such. To get around this just delete the game's autosave file (NOT your main file).

* Stuck in 2012:
 - leave the Animus to run around as Desmond Miles in 2012. If you save the game you could very well be unable to reenter the Animus, thus making you stuck in 2012. Avoid saving as Desmond and maybe turn the subtitles on for good measure.

############################################################

Assassin's Creed III:

* Horse glitch:
 - when on top of a horse, you can walk into a hitching post and embed the horse within the collision of the hitching post. When you get off the horse, it will be trying in vain to get itself in a comfortable position, and as such it starts spazzing out, unable to separate its collision boundaries from the hitching post.

* Proxy jump:
 - in New York, go to a burnt-out building with four windows, of which the third is bordered up with a platform above it. You do spawn really close to the building. Climb up the building, over the bordered up window, and onto the platform. Walk a bit forward and Conner will be caught in the collision zones of the platform and the building. The game engine ejects you this niche at a fast velocity, which 90% of the time will result in your death.

############################################################

Assassin's Creed: Unity

* Ultrablending // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfI9J544nFg
 - stand in a crowd of 5-6 people and throw money down. Crouch when the NPCs do. Nudge the control stick a bit to make Arno stand up. The blending radius ring will blink on and off a few times. You'll now be considered blending with the crowd even when you have left the crowd.
  ~ patched, but confirmed works in version 1.4.0

############################################################

Assassin's Creed: Origins

* Unloaded Hotephres softlock
 - this glitch happened to me personally. During The Crocodile's Scales quest, I was heading out to Lake Moeris to find Hotephres. I took a detour to Golden Horn Island to grab some loot. I went back out to find Hotephres and bumped into him swimming in the water. The cutscene started with me on his boat, but Hotephres was invisible and he spoke no dialogue. The only loaded part of him was what he was holding (his sword, then a doll). The game then got stuck in a loading screen, forcing a reset.

* Softlocked in a tree
 - if you stand in a tree (the wedge, not on a branch) and hit the button prompt to assassinate a nearby enemy, you might get stuck in the tree, unable to move, forcing a reset. This one also happened to me. Pffft.

############################################################

Banjo Tooie

* Wrong warp:
 - start a new game. Blow up the ricks in the Fuel Depot. Then go to Witchyworld and hit the faraway switch to open the gate. Skip the cutscene by opening the pause menu and quitting as soon as possible. Then replay the Hag 1 fight. When you enter Fuel Depot you'll warp back to the Hag 1 fight.
  ~ this works because you interrupted the cutscene, delaying it. Entering Hag 1 from the menu confuses the game and stores that cutscene. Ergo, entering Fuel Depot will play the Hag 1 cutscene. This saves around 2 hours, even though it does kind of count as NG+ as you must have fought Hag 1 on a previous file.

############################################################

Bayonetta

* Kilgore Glitch // https://imgur.com/gallery/OgCgi
- have a Durga weapon in on your feet in Set A and a Killgore weapon on your feet in Set B. Begin in Set A and do the PPPPK combo, and when you get to K switch to Set B and spam K. You will do intense damage and your combo meter will shoot up.
 ~ Probably patched out.

* Infinite Flute Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsKHHqzPNVU
 - equip the Magic Flute to the left item slot. Then use Magic Flutes from the item screen and the number you have will never decrease. Handy but a pain to keep pausing to use them.
 ~ confirmed still working.

############################################################

Batman: Arkham Asylum

* Storage
 - take cover at a corner and throw a Batarang around the corner, detonate your Explosive Gel, and throw another Batarang. If done correctly Batman will store the corner cover. Then when you crouch and throw a Batarang, Batman will zip to cover. This allows for sequence breaking.
 - get storage and head to the Morgue for the first time. Open the bodybags. After you open the
one where Scarecrow spooks you, don't move. Get your Explosive Gel out. Wait until you see the
reticle turn red and then crouch and throw a Batarang. You'll zip inside the Scarecrow nightmare
segment. While still crouched quick-fire the Batarang twice to shoot up in the air. Fly over to
the spotlight to end the Scarecrow nightmare.

* Bell skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-smVVwW-pM
 - enter Arkham Mansion for the first time. Get under the bell and grapple up the air vents. Throw a regular Batarang at the gap in the wooden floor above you. Use the camera to determine where the rope is; this may take several Batarangs. Now swap to your Remote Control Batarang and throw it. Once it gets through the gap control it into the rope. This skips over the second Scarecrow segment.

############################################################

Batman: Arkham City

* Standing Storage
 - stand on flat ground. Equip the Remote Electrical Charge. Aim, fire, and swap gadgets, or aim, swap gadgets and fire at the same time. This must be done very quickly, under a second. This is Lite Storage. Full Storage is when you crouch down while swapping gadgets. This locks you in place.

* REC Jump
 - equip the Remote Electrical Charge. Stand a few feet near a ledge. Jump, aim and fire, and hit the jump button again, all within a second. If done correctly Batman will be launched in the air.

* Freeze Hover
 - go to any ledge where Batman can perch (e.g. railings). Walk up to it and spam Freeze Grenades and Batman will hover for as long as you spam them.

############################################################

Batman: Arkham Knight

* Gargoyle storage
- grapple onto a gargoyle. Have the Remote Electrical Charge selected. Aim, fire, and then quick-fire a Batarang. Do all this very fast. Don't switch back to the to the emote Electrical Charge or the storage will be lost.
  ~ if your last checkpoint was outdoors and you do the 'release' (crouch and throw a Batarang), you'll zip outdoors but the collision of buildings won't load.

* ACE Chemicals skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GQ3b0DViTc
 - when on the broken bridge outside ACE Chemicals, fly down and land on the rightmost pipes. Stand on the left pipe and five forward into the wall at a 45 degree angle to clip through. Then glide towards the elevator shaft.

* Penguin skip
 - go to Penguin's place after the clocktower scenes. Go to the closed metal door before the multi-story parking lot. Have your Remote Electrical Charge equipped. Get corner cover on the left corner and walk over to the right corner. Aim the REC, drop the aim, punch, and then quick-fire the REC. You will zip to another corner, which in this case clips us through the metal door, skipping twenty minutes of story.
  ~ WARNING: can crash the game, especially with the Season of Infamy DLC installed.

############################################################

Beetle Adventure Racing

* Break out of maps // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CleZsEjJ5-A
- this works on some tracks. Race through until the final lap. Get near the finish line but do a 180 and go backwards through the track. Some maps will lose collision in some walls, allowing you to drive through them and break out of the map.

* Car launch
 - sometimes when you use nitro and run into a wall at an angle, the physics engine will flip out and launch you in the air.

############################################################

Bioshock

* Difficulty trophies exploit
 - play through the game at any difficulty up to the final boss fight
 - create a separate save just in case
 - beat the final boss
 - the instant you defeat him, pause and change the difficulty to Survivor
 - watch the cutscene and all the difficulty trophies/achievements should pop
 - this also works for the DLC challenges
  ~ this still works on the Bioshock Collection

* Infinite Money // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ngwtRgmkg8
 - go to the Medical Pavilion
 - head downstairs and head to the Dental Office
 - use Telekinesis to get the grab the key through the shattered window
 - hit the Door Control to spawn splicers
 - use Electro-Bolt to fry them all
 - loot the corpses
 - hit the Door Control to spawn more splicers
 - rinse and repeat
  ~ this still works on the Bioshock Collection

* Easy Avid Inventor
 - since the game tracks inventions on the main game file, you can save your game, build inventions at the U-Invent, reload and repeat and get the 100 inventions trophy easy.

* Extra Little Sister bug // https://bioshock.fandom.com/wiki/Extra_Little_Sister_Bug
 - certain levels have triggers that spawn in a Little Sister. If you deal with all the Little Sisters in a location and then enter the trigger area, an extra Little Sister will spawn. If you deal with the extra Little Sister you won't be permitted to leave the level.
 ~ this glitch is also present in Bioshock 2

* Kill Brigid Tenenbaum // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=239vpTJ2PVA
 - go to the Medical Pavilion
 - catch a grenade thrown by a Nitro Splicer with Telekenesis
 - run out the door and head to where the first Brigid Tenenbaum encounter is
 - your grenade will exploit during the cutscene, freezing her in place on the balcony
 - kill her once the cutscene ends
  ~ this glitch will mess up the game in weird ways

############################################################

Bioshock 2

* Infinite Health // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZXyfV9hBbc
 - go to Siren Alley
 - buy the Scout plasmid
 - buy a spare plasmid
 - equip Scout
 - use Scout and access the Gene Bank at the same exact time
 - replace the Scout plasmid with the spare one you also purchased
 - viola, infinite health
  ~ this can be done at any Gene Bank provided you have the Scout plasmid
  ~ rescuing or harvesting a Little Sister will undo the glitch

############################################################

Bioshock Infinite

* Infinite Gear, Money, and Lockpicks // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cQwlZ2z5zI
 - head to the Hall of Heroes Plaza via leaving the Hall of Heroes
 - use Possession on the Dollar Bill machine
 - land on the island closest to the Hall of Heroes building for a lockpick
 - head to the Soldiers Field and possess another Dollar Bill machine
 - head around the corner for another Dollar Bill machine and possess it
 - enter the Toy Soldiers store
 - enter the nearby door via Shock Jockey and grab the gear
 - head all the way back into the Hall of Heroes
 - use the Salt Machine to replenish your salt
 - leave out the door you came from
 - the lockpick, gear, and Dollar Bill machines will have reset; rinse and repeat

############################################################

Blaster Master

 - at the beginning of the game, enter the first door. Intentionally die twice on the screen here.
Walk towards the door you came through but turn back and walk the other way. You will enter the
door from the other way, zipping up screens. Pause the game when you come up through the ground.
This will stop the zipping and resume the correct physics.
single frame you can do this.

############################################################

Borderlands 2

* Crit stacking version 1 // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMfNe_NHFI4
 - have your inventory slots empty. Drop a weapon on the ground. As soon as you pick it up mash the drop weapon key. This will duplicate your weapon. This stacks the critical damage of the duped weapon does. This effect lasts until you quit the game.

* Crit stacking version 2 // https://borderlands.fandom.com/wiki/Morningstar#Notes
 - get the Morningstar sniper rifle. Empty its magazine. Reload but during the reload animation swap guns. This will stack critical hit damage to all your weapons. The longer you interrupt the reloading animation, the more powerful your critical hits will do.
  ~ be sure to mute the volume while doing this because the constant chattering the gun's voice will do your head in.

* Pimpernel glitch // https://borderlands.fandom.com/wiki/Pimpernel#Notes
 - Gunzerker only. Get the Pimpernel sniper rifle and the Money Shot skill. Have your main gun (not the Pimpernel) equipped with zero bullets on the magazine. Have the Pimpernel as your off-hand weapon. Dual wield them. Money Shot will upscale the Pimpernel's damage output to absurd levels.

* Easy Master Gee fight
 - stand outside Master Gee the Invincible's lair. Throw Longbow Singularity grenades to pull him towards you. Once he's up at the gate, walk up to him, punch him to rouse him, and throw another grenade beyond the gate to make the gate crush him to death. Useful for farming the Ahab to help with the aforementioned Pimpernel glitch.

* Infinite rocket ammo // https://borderlands.fandom.com/wiki/The_Sham#Notes
 - get The Sham shield and a low level Logan's Gun from killing Wilhelm. Empty your rocket launcher. With that empty, equip your Logan's Gun, aim straight down and shoot at the ground. This will get you back rocket ammo.

* Unlimited XP // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwO4gf58yGk
 - get the Infinity pistol from Medical Mystery. You can jump out of bounds in Sanctuary by scaling buildings and using grenade jumps (follow the instructions in the video). Once inside the target practice room jump on the target, aim down, and repeatedly shoot for unlimited XP.
   ~ you can also get inside the target range when Sanctuary is in the sky and use the lower gravity to clip out of bounds to get there.

* Unlimited Money Shot // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=no4cUjnRUEw
 - Gunzerker only. Equip a Vladof rocket launcher that consumes reduced ammo per shot. Dual weild and reduce your offhand weapon to 1 shot remaining in the magazine. Fire that weapon once more and hold down the fire button, while quickly firing the rocket launcher. If timed correctly your other weapon will keep firing without consuming ammo for insane damage output. The glitch ends when you release the trigger button.

* Infinite money
 - start the optional quest Clan War: End of the Rainbow. Kill Bagman and get his key and open the boxes to get money. Run back the way you came to the front door and return to The Highlands. Go back inside, re-accept the mission, kill Bagman and loot his boxes. They will glitch out, respawning the money inside for infinite grabbing.

* Double damage
 - get the Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary DLC. Head to the Dahl Abandon. Drive up to the cave that is blocked and has the damage-boosting cloud inside. Park a gap in the gap between the boulder and the wall, then hop on the car and over into the cloud. Get back into the vehicle and the damage-boosting effect will still be on you. The glitch will remain active until you quit or return to the cloud in the cave.

* Infinite shield
 - Gaige only. Get the Buck Up skill. Unequip your shield off. Call your Death Trap and immediately use a Fast Travel or area transition gate. Wait a bit for the shield to be put on you and then choose a location. Once there equip your shield. This will regen your shield so fast it's basically an infinite shield.
  ~ you can stack these for even faster shield regeneration.

* Axton speed glitch
 - Commando  only. Be in a multiplayer game but NOT as the host. Have your Expertise skill maxed out for an easier time activating the glitch. Zoom in with your weapon, drop it and zoom in with the next weapon, rinse and repeat around 30 seconds. You will now be moving super fast.
  ~ warning: you can crash the game if you go too fast.

* Elemental damage swap
 - shoot with a weapon and quickly swap to a weapon with a different element and fire it. The elemental effect of gun #2 will be imparted into the damage done with gun #1. This only really works on weapons with slower projectile bullets because the swap and firing of gun #2 needs to happen before the bullets hit the enemy.

* Duplication glitch
 - needs two players or two controllers. Start a trade. The person who wants the item duplicated puts it in the trade and then you both duel. Then the person with the desired duplicated weapon needs to unequip it and reequip it and the drop it on the ground. The other player must win the duel, and then the original player picks it up. This allows both players to obtain the weapon.

* Invincibility
 - Krieg only. Get the Release the Beast skill. Get near a Catch-A-Ride station. Get less than 33% health (self-inflicted is the fastest way). Activate Buzz Axe Rampage and immediately use the Catch-A-Ride station to spawn a vehicle and teleport to it. Hop out the vehicle. You will now be invincible to anything other than bottomless pits or getting crushed.

* Instant Action Skill recharge
 - get the Little Evie pistol (kill Mr. Bubbles without hurting Lil' Sis). Empty some bullets. Reload and swap weapons during the reload animation. Rinse and repeat. After 30-60 seconds your Action Skill will recharge very fast. You do need to be killing enemies to start the cooldown timer though.

############################################################

Borderlands 3

* Porceloin Pipe Bomb glitch
 - get the Porceloin Pipe Bomb from the Raiders of the Lost Rock sub-quest. This grenade is quite glitchy. For instance, when fighting Graveward, when he launches his first punch, throw the grenades ontop of his head when he leans forward. His health will melt away. Easy farming!
  ~ patched

* Duplication
 - requires an online friend (can't do it solo). Trade the items and/or money to someone who is not the host of the game. When the 3-2-1 countdown appears, close application (on console) or use Task Manager to quit the game when the counter is on 1. If done with the right timing the host  will get the money and your friend will stick around 30 seconds before timing out. when they return they will still have the items and/or money.
  ~ probably patched and probably bannable

############################################################

Bugs Bunny & Taz: Time Busters

* Skip to Transylvania
 - at the beginning of the game, go to the Arabian Era door. Run up to the left corner of the door and jump and dive into it. If done correctly you'll go out of bounds. Now hover down to the other side of the Transylvania gate and land just on the other side of it to hit the loading trigger.

* Skip to Bloodcount's Castle
 - approach the locked gate of Bloodcount's Castle. Play as Taz and have his back against the gate and move forward a step or two to create a gap. Switch to Bugs and dive-jump into the gap. If done correctly Bugs will be pushed through the gate.

* Skip to final boss
 - when in the castle, go to the bubblegum machine as Taz. Eat the gum and head towards the open door whilst floating. Using a specific pattern you can bypass the trigger that keeps track of the bubble timer, allowing you to float continuously over the wall. Then simply pop the bubble to land on the loading trigger on the other side of the locked door.

############################################################

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance

* Whiplaunch
 - stand at a ledge, facing away from it
 - walk away from it for a split second, quickly backdash towards the ledge and then attack
 - if done correctly you'll be going so fast you'll bypass collision detection of walls
 - since the game won't allow you stuck inside a wall, you'll zip upwards

* Shuriken glitch
 - if you throw a shuriken, jump + dive-kick and then mash attacks, the shuriken will do damage on each frame as it returns to you. Difficult to do.

############################################################

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

* Save file corruption
 - doing the Sword Brothers spell and then saving the game will allow you to edit the inventory during the save operation. This will create a corrupted save file. With the right setup you can skip straight to the credits... most other setups will make the save file unloadable and useless.

############################################################

Contra

 - in Stage 3, due to the vertical scrolling, your maximum jump height limit fluctuates. By moving left and right before the apex of your jump you'll gain a little bit extra height in certain places. Useful for TAS speedruns but too impractical for RTA speedruns.

############################################################

Contra Force

 - jump and pause while in mid-air. Hold down the jump button and unpause. You'll jump again in midair. Rinse and repeat.

###########################################################

Crash Bandicoot

* Zigzagging:
 - continuously hitting the left and right buttons on the D-pad whilst moving makes Crash zigzag. This grants a bit of a speed boost that allows him to make jumps he otherwise couldn't. Also present in Crash 2 and Crash 3.

* Spin attack exploit:
 - your spin attack hit box is a bit larger than the TNT explosion radius. This allows you to spin attack and detonate TNT boxes safely. This also works in Crash 2 and Crash 3.

* Wall glitch:
 - in The Lost City and Sunset Vista there are walls that can push you off the edge. By approaching them the right way you can be pushed off but still retain the ground flag, allowing you to walk on the air and skip portions of the level.

############################################################

Crash Bandicoot 2:

* Extra items:
 - jumping on enemies or boxes in succession gives rewards. After 200+ bounces the rewards stack overflows, possibly rewarding you with gems and relics. The easiest way to do this is by using an arrow box by an enemy.

* Red Gem early:
 - in Snow Go, stand on the nearby arrow crate by jumping and spinning on it. Now press yourself against the wall and slide to the left, spin, jump, and then bellyflop for extra height when underneath to obtain it.

* Glitched high jump:
 - when doing a slide-jump, spin shortly before jumping for extra height. Probably works for Crash 3.

############################################################

Crash Bandicoot 3:

* Extra items:
 - jumping on enemies or boxes in succession gives rewards. After 200+ bounces the rewards stack overflows, possibly rewarding you with gems and relics. The easiest way to do this is by using an arrow box by an enemy, like in the side-scrolling section of Gone Tomorrow.

* Demo exploit:
 - on the title screen, skip the first two demos and wait until the third demo plays, with Coco in her plane. You can actually control this segment, despite it being a demonstration, but the real fun is when you return to the warp room. You will start a new game but with all five powerups obtained right away.

* Tiny fight exploit:
 - during the boss battle with Tiny, you can hide in the upper left corner to avoid all the lions (most of the time at least). In the N. Sane Trilogy the crowd throw cheese at you when doing this exploit.

############################################################

Crash Team Racing:

* Language glitch:
 - in the PAL version, boot the game. When the language options appear, exit out with /\ or []. All the text with be blank (with a '-' placeholder), all the cutscenes will have no dialogue, and for some reason some of the bosses have swapped heads with each other.

* Rescue loop:
 - falling off the map gets you rescued by your helper mask, Aku Aku or Uka Uka. Falling off the map and crossing the finish line as you fall will make your helper mask continuously rescue you, trapping you in a loop.

* Wrong warp:
 - start a two-player battle on Rocky Road. Make sure Player 1 is on Red Team and Player 2 is on Yellow team. Win a game and hit retry. Win 19 times in a row and then hit the Change Setup menu. Select Start Battle and then the credits will play. Easy any% speedrun win.
  ~ this works due to memory values. Each win adds +1 to the location value in memory. Rocky Road has a value of 23. The credits have a value of 42. 23+19 = 42.

############################################################

Crazy Taxi

* Teleport bug // http://www.crazytaxi.net/miscinfo.html
 - when driving at very fast speeds and colliding with another vehicle, your car may be zipped across the map. This can be of great benefit to your run, but most of the time it'll ruin it.

############################################################

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos:

* Hovering:
 - if you jump, cancel your jump with a tail attack and then try to ground pound ten frames later, Croc will hover for a few seconds. You can use this to cross large distances

* Sega Saturn boot issues:
 - on the Saturn version, if you boot the console with the Croc disc inside, the game doesn't render non-textured polygons. Most of Croc's head is missing, some enemies don't appear, the lava graphics is glitchy, and all manner of weird things happen.
  ~ to fix this you must turn on the Saturn and then put in the disc.

* Infinite Gobbos:
 - go to a room that has a mystery box, such as in Dark Descends or Riot Brrrrr. This is the ? Box that moves about. Ground pound it to gain the Gobbo. Then suicide yourself. The Gobbo will respawn, allowing you to collect it again and again. Once you get 10+ you get symbols instead of numbers for the counter.

* Puzzle Piece glitch:
 - in Defeato Burrito, collect the puzzle piece by sideways jumping so that you collect it and then land in the water. You will leave the room and get the Level Complete screen. You can move about freely, even though the level is supposedly complete.

############################################################

Croc 2:

* Hazard Jump:
 - if you press the jump button just before Croc hits dangerous floor like lava, he will harmlessly bounce off it. However, if you touch the lava again, you will lose a life, regardless of hitpoints remaining

* Placeholder level warp:
 - have a memory card with no Croc 2 save on it. Start a new game and prepare to save it under any file name. When it asks you to save, hit the confirm and back buttons at the same time. Now select the load file. You will spawn in the placeholder level.

* Proxy launch
 - in Save 30 Gobbo Babies!, get the key and rescue the baby Gobbo from its cage in top of the green hill by the stairs. Grab the baby Gobbo and jump backwards into the corner of the staircases. You will be forced through the wall, possibly landing on the winding platform in the next area.

* Swimming in the air:
 - in The Village Masher, grab a bucket and approach a pool of water. Throw the bucket just as you enter it. The bucket will return to land, forcing you out of the water but you will still be swimming. It doesn't last long though.

############################################################

Cuphead

* Co-op trophies exploit // https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/93990-easy-platinum-exploit
 - if you join a local multiplayer game of someone who has already gotten lots of trophies or the platinum trophy, actions performed by that person will give you the corresponding trophies to you.
  ~ the only exception are the coin trophies as the coins don't respawn

############################################################

Dark Souls

* Warp Glitch
 - start by being online
 - use a warping item
 - create an Xbox Live party during the loading screen
 - resume playing the game
 - the game would dump you at the default location of that area
  ~ this glitch seems to still work on the Xbox 360 version of the game

* Item duplication
 - put the item you want to duplicate in your hotbar
 - roll or parry and use the item at the end of the animation
 - press Start before the confirmation box shows up and use another item
 - now you can use that hotbar'd item but it will only use the item you used in your inventory

############################################################

Dark Souls 2

* Parrywalk // https://wiki.speedsouls.com/darksouls2:Parrywalk
 - parry an enemy and wait until it falls on its ass
 - roll over it and ripost at the same time
 - the game will keep your y-coordinate, allowing you to walk on air
 ~ how long you walk for depends on the patch you’re on. Older patches allow for unlimited air-walking, but the current patch air-walking limit it 28 seconds as that is when the enemy will stand up and the glitch will end.

* Item duplication
 - select an item in your inventory and select the ‘use’ option
 - switch to your equipment tab and then back to the inventory tab
 - select the item again, drop it, and then use it
 - you’ll drop the item on the ground but keep the original in your inventory
  ~ patched out on latest patch

############################################################

Dark Souls 3

* Infinite stamina // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcnlviX60XQ
 - keep equipping and unequipping the Ring of Favour and your stamina will get reset upon every equip.
  ~ works on the latest  patch

############################################################

Demon’s Souls

* Item duplication // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UIoZBg7Ueo
 - equip Nexial Binding to your hotbar
 - talk to the Blacksmith in the Nexus
 - try to buy an item
 - walk away so the confirmation window closes
 - use the Nexial Binding but close the confirmation window with the Start button
 - talk to Stockpile Thomas and stock the item you wish to dupe (the whole stack)
 - quickly cancel the Nexial Binding animation with the Circle button
 - you should now have 1024 of the stocked item in Stockpile Thomas’ storage
  ~ does not work for the remake

############################################################

Demon’s Souls remake

* Item duplication // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBwvdshm0lE
 - start an animation, like firing a bow with no arrows as it’s a long animation
 - during this animation go to your inventory
 - immediately drop the item (make sure it is not equipped to hotbar)
 - you will use the item and dupe a new one on the ground
  ~ only works on consumables with animations

############################################################

Descent 3

* Simultaneous Cutscenes Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dR8y1ICge2Y
 - if an end-of-level cutscene triggers during another cutscene, the cutscenes are skipped and the level ends immediately. This is good for speedruns (though more research needs to be done).

############################################################

Diablo

* Negative health glitch
 - if you have less than zero health while you have a mana shield spell active, you'll be in an invincible undead state. You won't gain exp and you'll die if you take a portal or stairs in this state.
  ~ patched

* Duplication glitch // https://www.angelfire.com/on/hobbyuniv/howdupe.html
 - have potions or scrolls in your belt
 - drop the item you want to dupe on the ground
 - walk away from it a bit
 - click on the item on the ground
 - as soon as you pick up the item, click on a potion/scroll in your belt
  ~ patched and bannable on Battle.Net

############################################################

Donkey Kong Country

* Map warp
 - start a new game. Complete Jungle Hijinxs with just one Kong. As the Kong passes over the dotted line to the next level, spam tap B repeatedly. The screen will fade in and you will arrive near the end of Orang-utan Gang.
 - this also works at some other levels.

* Wrong Warp:
 - breaking a barrel and quickly picking up creates an invisible barrel. This confuses the game, corrupting the memory. By loading a new object in the invisible barrel memory and throwing it, many glitches are caused. One of the most useful is wrong warping. This will allow you to instantly finish the level.
  ~ one of the most infamous places to try this out is Castle Crush in Donkey Kong Country 2. There are reports of it breaking a real SNES console. Try it out on an emulator just to be safe.

* Split-up glitch
 - toss a DK barrel and exit a stage before the barrel hits the ground. Get hit over a pit and the game will kick you out to the stage select. The next DK barrel will get you your missing kong and you will be able to control both of them at the same time with the same inputs.

############################################################

Donkey Kong 64

* Moonkick // http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOqg3IFC-qI
 - play as Donkey Kong and find a steep non-slippery slope. Run up it and jump and attack with B and keep spamming B just before you land. The end result will be a massive jump.

* Skipping B. Locker
 - Lanky can bypass B. Locker with his standing attack combo. His lanky long arms will reach the portal of all B. Locker-blocked portals, except for Frantic Factory and Hideout Helm.
 - Donkey Kong's standing attack combo can also hit the portal past B. Locker
 - Chunky's Primate Punch can also touch the portal behind B. Locker

* Swim Through Shores // http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEYjrAdVxUo
 - swim towards a shore. Just as you approach water too shallow to dive, press Z and start mashing B. You will slowly swim through the shore and be swimming under the ground. This glitch can get the fairy early from Fairy Island.

* Swim through walls // http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrFkwDdp-b0
 - swim up to a wall and be pretty perpendicular to it. Hold C-up and then hold A. Release C-up and you might just pop through the wall.

* C-up glitch // http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zC7COFJ_Osw
 - go up to the edge of a wall. Walk off and the instant you begin to fall off press and hold C-up and you just might be inside the wall.

* Test Room glitch:
 - once you collect all 40 Blueprints, Snide will let you play some minigames. Press C-up to get to the bonus game menu, and then press A+B together. The game will load the Test Room, which the developers used to test the physics and models for cutscenes.

############################################################

Doom II

Big list of them here // https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Engine_bug
but here are some highlights:

* Ghost monster
 - if a monster is killed by being crushed by a ceiling and is revived by an arch-vile, the monster retains the properties of the pool of blood, making it nigh invulnerable.

* Wallrunning
 - running against a wall at a specific angle gives you more velocity than normal. Useful for speedrunning.

* Death slide
 - when you die your height changes to 0 but your corpse can still cross triggers. Combining death with momentum, such as you killing yourself with a rocket, you can slide under locked gates and prematurely exit a level.

############################################################

Driver: You are the Wheelman

* Physics glitches // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B4B5y_pa_8
 - if you ram your car into another car that is on its side, the physics engine will freak out and either send you or the other car (or both) flying in the air or doing somersaults. This also works on Driver 2.

* Desert boundary break // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UoPD1m7yP4
 - in the first Desert training track, you can squeeze between the white fence and the rock at the very start of the track. This will enable you to drive out of bounds.

* Miami boundary break // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqd0eKCnZso
 - the long Eastern wall of the map has gaps in its collision. One of them is at the very corner where that wall and the grassy wall meet. Drive into it to be pushed out of bounds onto the solid water.

* San Francisco boundary break // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFi9xMs_Uqs
 - near the bottom right corner of the map, on the leftmost straight road, there exists a gap between a building and a grassy wall. This will allow you to drive out of bounds.

############################################################

Driver 2

* Chicago Bridge Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMLNZWnGWGk
 - in Chicago, drive up to a bridge that is midway to opening/closing with an unharmed car. Make the jump but get out the car during the jump. This will cause collision problems with the car and physics of other cars.

* Tiny Cars glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKgUlVtkfbI
 - first wait until the Havana Day demonstration video plays, and then select Take a Ride Havana Day. Once the level loads, restart and all the cars will be tiny. This is the Mini-Cars cheat, somehow activated by the glitch.

* Dumb police AI
 - get the cops on your tail. Drive and lose the cops while heading to where more cops are. Get near the cops and then use the handbrake and spin turn while getting out your car. Time it right and the cops will engage your now-empty car.

* Cops wreck themselves
 - go to Vegas and get the cops on your tail. Go to the pedestrian walkways in the center of the map. Park your car in the middle of the walkway and the cops will be on the ground below, driving into walls.

############################################################

Duke Nukem 3D

Crouch Jump
 - approach an air vent or a semi-lowered door or any place that needs you to shrink. Crouch and
then jump. Hold the jump button and the crouch button while in the air and move yourself into the tight gap. If done right you'll clip through.

* Wall clipping
 - you can clip through thin walls by putting your back against the wall, crouch down, and fire
your rocket launcher, and you'll clip through.

############################################################

Dungeon Keeper 2

* Trap planting glitch
 - make a trap and place it anywhere. Just before the imp puts the trap down at the location, sell it. The imp will drop the trap and it can be re-used endlessly.

* Invisibility glitch // www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vXfplWLw_4
 - cast the symbiosis spell on a sleeping creature and it will be invisible to the enemies. Take control of the creature and have fun. There is much speedrunning potential. Hidden traps will undo the glitch and alert enemies to you though.

############################################################

Earthbound

* Stairs glitch
 - have all but one party member be unconscious
 - have the last surviving party member be poisoned
 - died while on stairs
 - after the game over screen return to the title screen
 - load a different save file
 - your party is now ghost-like and no-clips through walls and objects

* Check Area glitch // http://tasvideos.org/3406S.html
 - some locations are beyond the map, such as the north-east corner of Onett. Reaching such locations causes the game to read random places in memory, leading to graphical glitches, crashes, warps, and even bringing up the debug menu.

* Condiments glitch
 - if you place a food item and condiments in the same character's inventory but sort it so that the food item comes after the condiments, only the condiments will be consumed, allowing you to use the food unlimited times.

* Equipment scramble glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQcIZSyjtx0
 - if an item is removed from your inventory, the game will shift your items to fill in the gap. The thing is, equipping an item during battle takes into account the index #, not the actual item, meaning you can equip all manner of items to various equipment slots, leading to all sorts of results.

############################################################

Elden Ring

* Wrong warp
 - use the Memory of Grace to warp to your last rested grace
 - just before being warped, open your map and warp to another grace
 - this will bring you to the default location of that map
  ~ this glitch can lead to skipping bosses and sequence breaking
  ~ warning: you might warp out of bounds and you’ll either die or get stuck

* Pegasus Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3C9rUlJA7DI
 - stand near a cliff
 - summon Torrent the horse
 - ride forward a bit and dismount
 - pause at the height of your jump and quit to main menu
 - reload your save
 - head over to a cliff and stand near the very edge, feet just barely on the edge
 - quit to main menu and reload the save again to kill Torrent
 - summon Torrent twice and he will be able to run on air
  ~ patched on 1.04

############################################################

Fester's Quest

* Key glitch
 - every boss arena has a secret door to a locked room where Thing gives you Invisible Potions. Enter it with the key. After that screen you'll be outside the house while the boss dies in the corner. This works on every boss, even the final boss.

Final Fantasy series

List of glitches and bugs throughout the series // https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_bugs_and_glitches
but here are some highlights:

* FF I: Peninsula of Power
 - the peninsula northeast of Pravoka has monsters from Lufenia due to the grid of monster encounters overlapping with that region.

* FF I: Invisible woman of Cornelia
 - the female NPC in Cornelia Castle is invisible. Since where she is isn't considered to be in a room, she will not become visible, hence she does not appear in normal gameplay.

* FF II: Target-cancel bug
 - use a command but cancel it rather than confirming it. You will still get exp, allowing for easy levelling of weapons and magic.

* FF III: Item upgrade glitch // https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/nes/563415-final-fantasy-iii/faqs/20847
 - by getting 99 potions and arranging your inventory a certain way, getting more options will change the internal ID of the item that follows the 99 potions. Easy Onion equipment! Read the hyperlinked guide for more info.

* FF IV: Save glitch
 - here's a nasty one to accidentally avoid doing. Have an empty character slot, use an item on someone, use Order and move that same person to the empty item slot, then enter and the item screen, and viola, all game saves erased (on some versions of the game).

* FF IV: Lunar Whale glitch
 - another nasty one to avoid at all costs. Land the Lunar Whale airship on the Red Moon. Enter the Lair of the Father. The Lunar Whale will be missing, potentially stranding you unless you can somehow find it.

* FF V: Airship glitch
 - if you land the airship right on top of the entrance to Ghido's Cave, you will be unable to enter the cave, making the game unwinnable.

* FF V: Kiss of Blessing bug
 - creating Maiden's Kiss with Mix will give the target Haste, Image, and Berserk, and this applies to bosses. Using this item on bosses breaks their scripting. As such, using it on Exdeath will prevent him from becoming Neo Exdeath, essentially skipping the final boss fight.

* FF VI: Vanish-Doom bug
 - casting Vanish and then Doom on an enemy instantly kills it. This even works on bosses.

* FF VI: Sketch bug
 - cast Sketch on an enemy and make sure it misses. Casting Vanish on the enemy helps with this. This bug causes bad sprite data to load. Effects range from graphical glitches, messing with your inventory and equipment, crashes and more.

* FF VII: W-Item duplication bug
 - get the W-item materia. In battle use one item on anyone and select another item. While the cursor is above someone's head, cancel with X or O. That item will duplicate.

* FF VII: Quadra Magic cave glitch
 - fly the Highwind to Mideel Area. Line up with the grass right against the rocks. Land then hold Square and aim towards the rocks. With this glitch you can enter the Materia Cave and get Quadra Magic without chocobos.

* FF VII: Infinite elixirs
 - enter the cave with the Elixir in Great Glacier. Grab the Elixir but do not close the message box. Exit the cave. Due to not closing the message box the Elixir does not disappear. Rinse and repeat.

* FF VII: Kalm skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiO9ixPicHU
 - you can park your chocobo on a specific pixel on the world map and dismount to clip through a mountain. This skips over Kalm and saves 15 minutes in a speedrun.
  ~ new version saving more time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6moNpjO-62M

* FF VIII: Junction glitch
 - by swapping spells between three different people, you can trick the game into junctioning the spell to multiple stats. This is only present in the original Japanese version.

* FF VIII: Rinoa skip // https://www.speedrun.com/ff8/guide/vcgb3
 - on the train just before you meet Rinoa, you can you squeeze past the guy in front of the door to skip meeting Rinoa. You still get her later on, but it's used in speedruns.

* FF IX: Thunder Slash glitch
 - Thunder Slash was mistakenly given a gravity type with an accuracy of 0, so it always misses. It does affect the Iron Man enemy in Memoria though.

* FF X: Home glitch
 - go up to the guys that are blocking the way back to Home. Approach the leftmost guy and spam Circle. With a bit of wiggling you'll squeeze past and revisit Home. The game will then play out events as if they never happened; so kind of like New Game Plus... Mid-Game Plus?
  ~ this glitch only works on the Japanese version of Final Fantasy X: International.

* FF X: Bliztball exploit
 - get the ball and hide behind your goalkeeper. The AI won't try and get you. Easy win!

* FF X-2: Episode Complete bug
 - if you get an Episode Complete in Zanarkand, you won't be sent back to the Celsius and thus miss out on getting the Mascot dressphere. Later versions of the game still allow you to get the Mascot dressphere from the Youth League Tournament in the Fiend Arena.

* FF XII: Zone out glitch
 - defeat an enemy but cross a zone line before the EXP and LP is shown on screen. This will respawn the enemy. This allows for farming rare monsters and level grinding
.

Final Fantasy series warps:

* FF I: Stair teleport to credits
 - walking up and down the stairs in Castle Cornelia causes a stack overflow, enabling arbitrary code to be executed. It may seem TAS only but it can be done by human hands.

* FF II: Wrong warp
 - go up and down stairs in a dungeon 45 times and then get into a battle to cause a stack overflow. Arbitrary code will then be executed. With the correct setup you can jump straight to the credits.

* FF IV: 64 Door Hierarchy
 - going up and down the floors of the Dwarven Castle continuously increases the Floor Level. Once it reaches 64 it rolls over to 0. Casting Warp sends you back to your last location. Warp value of 0 = sending you to the final boss fight.

* FF V: Memory Manipulation to Credits
 - resetting subframes during RAM activity can create a hole for arbitrary code execution; namely launching the end credits event. It's complicated and not for the faint of heart.

* FF VI: Game Over to credits
 - dying 52 times in a row on the world map causes a stack overflow. By manipulating the frame the Game Over is confirmed, you can jump straight to the credits.

* FF VII: Yuffie Warping
 - on the PC version of the game you need two files: one which has not obtained Yuffie yet and is on the world map, and another save file. On the second save file, die to a battle. Then reload to the first save file. Get to Yuffie without any encounters and fight her (Mystery Ninja). After the battle, you will be warped to where your previous game over was. This glitch allows you to skip Aeris' death and keep her.

inb4 FF IX Golden Chocobo glitch. That is a proven hoax.

############################################################

Final Fantasy Legend II

* Poison glitch
 - get into a battle with 16 total participants
 - have someone (enemy or teammate) die of poison at the end of a round
 - make sure the last action done that round wasn't to a target
 - this glitch will affect a lot of bytes in memory, changing items and stats

############################################################

Gauntlet Legends

* Prolonged Time Stop
 - if your character dies with Time Stop enabled, all enemies will be frozen and none will spawn. Bosses still work as normal.
  ~ this same principle applies to shrinking potions: be the last one of your team alive, drink the shrinking potion just before your death, die and enter a stage and all enemies will be shrunk.

* Moving during cutscenes
 - if you hold the control stick during the start of a cutscene, you will move during it. Controls will be inverted during it however.

############################################################

Gex 2/3

* Wrong warp:
 - in Gex 2 and Gex 3, if you jump on a button to enter a level and then tailwhip as you move away from it, you will buffer the enter level function. Then approach a locked level, like say the final boss room, and you will be able to enter that locked level without getting the requisite remotes. This is quite hard as it requires consistent tailwhips on the same frame sequence, so it is mostly TAS only.

* Instant exit:
 - when you jump on a level exit button to collect a remote, you can pause a few frames before you exit and pause buffer to bring up the pause menu. The hit Exit Level and you will exit the level with the remote and avoid being teleported back to Mission Control. Good for speedrunning.

* Ghost Gex:
 - go to any level that has a Fly-TV that respawns infinitely. Keep tailbouncing on the TV to continuously spawn more flies. Once you have bounced enough (25-30) the amount of flies loaded will cause Gex to sometimes despawn, becoming invisible and losing some hit detection. You can even walk up walls that aren't completely vertical.

* Lake Flaccid Door Clip:
 - in Gex 3, you can clip through the door frame to Lake Flaccid by jumping on the left side of the door frame, running in it and then jumping through.

* Duplicate items:
 - collect a Bonus Coin or Paw Coin and then immediately pause the game and exit the level before you collect the coin. This counts as having obtained the coin but it will not be removed from the level. The coins do get removed from the hub worlds though, so collect those first. This glitch makes it easy to get Any% this game.

* Walking in water:
 - if you lick and fall off a ledge into water at the same time, you will buffer through the trigger to activate water physics, thus allowing you to walk in the water. This makes getting things underwater much faster.

############################################################

Ghostbusters (NES)

* Stairs invincibility:
- on the stairs section, get hit by ghosts twice so that you are on your last 'life'. Enter a door just as a ghost moves over it. This will glitch the game into giving you infinite lives.

############################################################

God of War: Ascension
Glitch FAQ // https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/667703-god-of-war-ascension/faqs/70507
but here are some highlights:

* Infinite red orbs
 - go to the Village of Kirra
 - get the Fire of Ares
 - don't use the Fire of Ares or a Rage attack, use a sword acquired from an enemy
 - the enemies will keep spawning; rinse and repeat

############################################################

God of War: Chains of Olympus

* Infinite magic
 - defeat the Persian King
 - use infinite jumping glitches to escape the room (google them)
 - viola, you now have magic regeneration

* Infinite red orbs
 - start a new game
 - use Light of Dawning on the first enemies you see
 - collect the red orbs
 - hit Start and select Restart from the Checkpoint
 - rinse repeat
  ~ this only works on NG+ and gives barely any red orbs

############################################################

Gran Turismo

* Boundary break
 - race on Special Stage Route 11 with a super fast car, like a fully specced Mitsubishi GTO. Drive while grinding against the right wall. At the sixth corner, approach the right angle corner. Fishtail your way one wheel at a time through the gap to slip through.

* Collision glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIwLZ3IDK3M
 - driving into a wall head on will allow you to be up speed, enough so that you fly and can even be shot up in the air. This is for the Japanese version of the game only.

############################################################

Gran Turismo 2

* 98.2% game completion
 - due to the drag racing mode taken out, the NTSC versions of the game have a maximum completion of 98.2%.

* Boundary break
 - race on Leguna Seca Raceway with an all-wheel drive, like the Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version. Drive forward a fair bit but turn around 180 degrees before the corner. Look for the gate that juts out on the leftside wall. Drive into the corner where the wall and gate meet and floor it. Turns the wheels left and right until you slip through the gap and leave the track. Somewhere outside the track is a drag racing strip from the cut drag racing mode.

* Garage Bug // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tat89gwE22s
 - if you fill up all eight Maximum Speed Test records and then set a ninth record with a very long name, the garage data will be overwritten. Result: a ton of glitched No Name No Name cars and imminent game crashes.
  ~ only initial releases; re-releases fix this.

* Incorrect opponents
 - due to a change in the list of opponent cars, all endurance races (except the Grand Valley 300km) has a mismatched car from another race. Other races may have cars that just barely exceed the HP limit of races.

############################################################

Gran Turismo 3

* Boundary break
 - on the Seattle Circuit, the wall at the start/finish line has poor collision. Drive into it at over 300km/h and at the right angle and you'll pop through.
 - the sharp corners of Cote d' Azur can be broken through with enough speed.
 - Special Stage Route 5 can be escaped from at the bottom-left corner of the pit lane. Crash into it and wiggle your way outside.

* Max speed // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLS5s2nmuHk
 - get into a car with a big spoiler, like the Toyota GT-One or Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version. Tune the downforce to F = 0%, R = 100% and adjust the gears for maximum speed. Break out the course boundary (see above) and drive into the distance. At around 230mp/h the car will do a wheelie and the speed will ramp up until it hits the signed 32-bit limit. Then the game will crash.

############################################################

Grand Theft Auto series

List of glitches // https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Glitches
but here are some highlights.

* GTA III: Invincibility glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MljdOaHPVM8
 - get a wanted level and get near a cop. Damage your car until it is burning. Enter the car and get busted just as the car explodes. Claude will then be invincible to all damage but you'll get stuck in water in you fall in. You can still get busted.
  ~ only get 1 wanted level. Cars take five seconds to explode, so wait four seconds and get in. The car should explode as you are entering it and as the cop is raising his gun to arrest you.

* GTA III: Infinite sprint
 - rather than holding the sprint button, just hold it for a second and then tap it repeatedly for infinite sprinting.

* GTA III: Megajump
 - jump and as soon as you hit the ground, jump and hit F1 to activate a replay. This will make Claude jump forward by a considerable measure. You can chain megajumps with a weapon equipped but if you're unarmed you'll need to release the forwards key (typically W) to do successive megajumps.
  ~ be warned that you're moving so fast during a megajump that you may die.

* GTA III: 30k ammo
 - do a Rampage and the instant it ends load a replay. The easiest way seems to be spamming F3 and F1 just as the Rampage is ending, but it still comes down to luck.

* GTA III and VC: Mission Duping // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8c5ruGzAfc
 - there are various ways of tricking the way into thinking you're on a mission when you're not. These will manipulate the onMission variable from 0 to 1. Due to this we can instant-complete missions, skip missions, and other neat things. Methods include:
  ~ save a replay during a rampage, get into a vehicle with a sub-mission (police car, ambulance, taxi). Hold sub-mission button (don't release it), load rampage replay and then release it.
  ~ get into a vehicle with a sub-mission (police car, ambulance, taxi). hold sub-mission button (don't release it), pickup a save marker and immediately release the sub-mission button.
  ~ save a replay during a rampage and activate the replay the same time you activate a mission or save marker.

* GTA VC: Skip to Starfish Island // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfphIAWh7xg
 - get a motorcycle and drive up to the entrance. Do a wheelie into the corner of the left gate and fall off the motorcycle and Tommy will be on the other side.

* GTA VC: Ammo copy glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUjCu-WdvnQ
 - equip a weapon whose ammo you want to copy (e.g. grenades) and beat the mission Phnom Penh '86. Start Supply & Demand. Equip your grenades. Head to the marker. While driving the boat, load a replay of you on foot and this will confuse the game. Beat the mission and the ammo from the weapon you had in the previous mission will be transferred to your pre-boat weapon. Loads of grenades!

* GTA VC: Ice Cream Factory save corruption
 - saving your game at the Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory on first edition PS2 copies will corrupt your game save.

* GTA SA: Duping // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql4PDGRP5WE
 - start a mission around the time you get a phonecall so your phone rings during the mission. Hold the phonecall and fail the mission. Now start the mission again and you'd have started the same mission twice. Finishing it completes it and the next mission in the chain.
  ~ you can delay the time you receive the phone call with pause buffering so that you can be near the mission marker to get the phonecall on time.
  ~ entering Blood Bowl automatically cancels the phone call.

* GTA SA: Territory Glitch
 - fly a plane or a flying/floating car (obtained via cheat codes) and fly/drive out at sea in any direction for around 30 minutes and then kill yourself. The map will be covered in gang turf territories and gang activity will be on the rise.

* GTA SA: Half-Territory Skip
 - get a vehicle that enables sub-missions, such as police car/bikes. Eliminate wave 1 and 2. Get in the vehicle. When wave 3 spawns start and quickly cancel the sub-mission. Head to the next territory and kill those wave 3 enemies to start a gangwar in the next territory. This still counts towards the territories owned % for the final mission.

* GTA SA: Gym glitch
 - the daily limit for workouts in gyms is tracked internally but not by year. After a whole ingame year passes, the game will take note of your workout limit and refuse you from working out. Protip: don't ever hit your daily workout limit.

* GTA SA: Free ammo
 - enter Ammu-Nation and start a shooting range sub-mission. Leave without finishing the mission. Certain guns in your inventory will have their ammo count doubled. Rinse and repeat.

* GTA IV: Swing set glitch
 - several swing sets in the game will violently eject a vehicle wedged into it. Fun times.

############################################################

Guardian's Crusade

* Nehani glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yXqN_ZD-9Q
 - hit Square and mash X. This forces the game to quit the dialogue before it has happened. This puts the game in a weird state where it thinks you're still in the dialogue box even though you can walk around.

* Grave Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKuoTS2jG8k
 - approach the grave at Darwin's Grave. Interact with it and do the Nehani glitch. Now head over to the sign by the bridge, do the same glitch to skip the cutscene. You will have the Whyme equipment, which you're not supposed to have until much later in the game.

* Speed glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yXqN_ZD-9Q
 - at any cave entrance, do the Nehani glitch near the entrance; this will disable the loading trigger. Walk into the non-loading cave entrance and do the Nehani glitch again to enter the cave. You will now be walking around at maximum speed. Opening the menu undoes the glitch.

* Marco Skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZds_O-Vu4w
- at the entrance of Isten, do the Nehani glitch near the loading trigger. This skips having to go defeat the Winged Lion. This also gives you the Speed glitch.

* Warp glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKuoTS2jG8k
 - collect Baby at Orgo and go to the entrance of the Cave of Fear. When the cutscene starts, interrupt it with mashing X. This will trick the game into thinking you're still in the cutscene. Knight will be sliding through the map without collision. You can barely steer him. To end the glitch open the menu and do the Nehani glitch. To prevent crashing try and get into a battle.

############################################################

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

* Fire Seed skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2922oMdd5A
 - you can skip getting Fire Seeds for Hagrid by positioning yourself in the corner of trees
behind the red spellbook, walking gently into the corner so you go out of bounds and jump onto the
trees. Jump onto more treetops, jump onto the roof of Hagrid's Hut, and then leap over the wooden
gate. This is tricky dicky but it saves around 5 minutes in a speedrun.
  ~ for PS1 version. Not too sure about other versions (probably not).

############################################################

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
- pick up the Remembrall facing the gate you came through. Ron won't spawn. Leave through the
other exit and return to where you just came from. The game will assume you've done rest of the
stuff in The Burrow and warp you to Gryffindor Common Room. This saves around 15 minutes in a
speedrun.
  ~ for PS1 version. Not too sure about other versions (probably not).

############################################################

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

* Requirements Skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFUYFN-HFJ4
 - after finishing Harry's final exam, go see Professors McGonagall and Dumbledore. After the
cutscene plays, walk rightwards against the door (do NOT touch your mouse). Now jump. You'll hit the
trigger, skipping the need to do all the third year requirements. End credits play.
  ~ PC only?

* Lag Jump // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PNgGlGjnkA
 - on the PC version, if you jump, pause, hold the PrtScn button until your fps counter drops,
release the button and unpause, you'll jump a little further, able to make otherwise just-out-of-
reach jumps.

############################################################

Heroes of Might and Magic III

* Superposition glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhr61j3D2vQ
 - this is two heroes on top of each other. This involves using Fly to send your main hero onto tile shared by a friendly hero you control.

* Mirror Trading // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhr61j3D2vQ&t=107s
 - use the Superposition glitch and then trade with the hero you're standing on. You will begin trading with a version of yourself. This allows you to duplicate armies up to the integer limits. Sacrificing armies you can duplicate means unlimited experience points and resources.

* Map Object cloning // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhr61j3D2vQ&t=303s
 - use the Superposition glitch. Move to an object (building, resource, chest, artifact, etc), switch to the other hero and start a trade with the other hero on the same tile. Quit the trade screen and that object will have spawned on top of the tile you're on. This is a good way to farm.

############################################################

Jade Cocoon

* Hunter Transit // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MZIvyjCFvA
 - just before you cross into a loading zone (where the screen turns dark), pause and use the Hunter's
Earring. This will warp you to another part of the forest. With this you can skip most of the
forests.

* Koris exploits
 - talk to Koris at the beginning of the Beetle Forest. Do the Attack/Defend training to get a Mugwort. Fail the training but you'll keep the Mugwort. Rinse and repeat until you hit the cap of 20.
 - talk to Koris and choose the Capture training. Capture the Arpatron. Say goodbye and leave the
Beetle Forest and save the game. Load that save file and go back into the Beetle Forest. Koris
will be on this screen but invisible. Talk to him and do the Capture training again to capture
another Arpatron. You can fill up all twelve cocoons with them!

############################################################

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

* Skip the boulder // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqgHRqsp2f0
 - to bypass the boulder that blocks access to Klaww, go up to the boulder, charge punch off the ledge to your left and uppercut, landing on a rocky platform. Then hop up onto the grassy ledge.

* Fire Canyon skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRWj-KzU_1o
 - with a myriad of techniques too numerous to mention here, you can traverse through Fire Canyon on foot, skipping the need to collect 20 power cells.

* Lava Tube skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIkiz3RE9eU
 - you can skip the Lava Tube segment by going out of bounds to get into the Lava Tubes on foot and then walking precariously on rocks. Watch the video link, it's poetry in motion. This skips having to collect 72 power cells.

* Skip the citadel
 - when you first enter Gol and Maia's citadel, save and load the save file after the cutscene ends. Upon loading into the game you'll find yourself at Samos.

############################################################

Jak II

Lots of skips in this speedrun tutorial // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK8iTiNglvY

* Stadium Bug // https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps2/914535-jak-ii/faqs/26664
 - if you access a blue racing panel near Mar Memorial Stadium, play four challenges, and then play the Metal Head Mash minigame, a later story mission that takes place at the stadium will be replaced by the optional mission you selected, preventing story progression. Your only hope from here is to start a new save file.

* Hover Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsSYUJeBNUo
 - if you make specific button presses on the controller you can continuously jump upward on the hoverboard, quickly gaining immense height. Watch the video for precise instructions.
  ~ also works in Jak 3.

* Access Sandover Village
 - view the intro cutscene in the scene player. During the cutscene open the disc tray and press Triangle. Close the disc tray and hit Continue. Once you're in Sandover Village, pause and restart the mission. You will now be moving about in Sandover Village.

############################################################

Jak 3

* Infinite Orbs
 - collect an orb during an orb search mission just as the time says 0:00. It says you failed but you got the orb. Rinse and repeat.

* Infinite flight
 - enable Light Jak and double jump. Press X+O over and over again in rhythm. This allows you to fly indefinitely.

############################################################

Jersey Devil:

* Bridge skip to final boss:
 - in Knarf's Forest, approach the broken bridge. Stand on the rightside stone ledge, as close to the left corner as you can. Face the other end of the bridge. Then jump and glide to the other side. This allows you to just barely clear the gap. Now you can finish the level to move onto Knarf's Lair, the final level with the final boss battle. With this glitch you can beat the game in under five minutes.

############################################################

Kingdom Hearts II

* Cavern of Remembrance skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urwuRb9GqV8
 - get some Drive Recoveries beforehand (30+ is fine). Go to the Mineshaft region of the Cavern of
Remembrance. Drop down the platform behind where you start. Run into the corner. Turn to face the
tall wall to your right while still running. Jump and attack the wall to be bounced back a bit.
Now face the ledge, jump and hold forward and Sora will clip through the wall. Hover by going into Master Form, Aerial Dodging, cast reflect to keep your height, reverting, and repeat, pausing to use Drive Recoveries when need be. Hover over to the door to the Transport to Remembrance. This skips
fighting the Replica Data in the Garden of Assemblage and gets you the Proof of Nonexistence
(silver crown on Sora).
  ~ still works in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix HD.

############################################################

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

* Wrong Warp // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCRLeVNxmuY
 - create a Final Episode save file; don't open it
 - start a new game with Aqua
 - play up to Castle of Dreams
 - let Jaq die
 - load the Final Episode save
 - you will be back at the orbs fight on a cleared save file

############################################################

Kirby's Adventure
* Skip to end of game:
 - using the Stone ability while in water will crash the game. BUT, on the last frame before the game crashes, pressing Start and a few other buttons will jump the game to the end credits. This is TAS exclusive.

Klonoa: Door to Phantomile

* Enemy Squeeze // https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=8&v=htMp9Cj2PUs
 - when you capture an enemy, you can take it with you in narrow door and  hallways. Stand against the door/hallway entrance and repeatedly hit up and down until you're through. This can be done to complete Vision 6-1 really fast. Speedrunners should take notes of where this can be applicable for a run.

* Vision 4-1 skip:
 - when at the second rope-platform, grab the Moo (orange enemy), jump, throw the Moo down, and then immediately grab the Flying Moo (green enemy). Thrown it down and float left. Just as you're above the platform (which is below you offscreen), grab the Flying Moo as it comes down from offscreen. Jump and throw it down, then grab the nearby Flying Moo and throw it down, THEN grab and throw down the same Flying Moo as it respawns, and then grab and throw down the Flying Moo just as it respawns. This will take you up to the platform with the exit door.

* Vision 6-2 skip:
 - go to the room with the many little downward platforms in which you are chased by a giant Golden Armored Moo and little Armored Moos. Jump down a few platforms. Time your jump so that when you jump into the giant Golden Armored Moo that you bounce backward onto the platform. Return to the door. Grab the regular Moo. Jump and throw it down to bounce up, and quickly grab the respawning Moo and throw it down. This will boost you up to the upward spiral area further on in the level.

Legend of Legaia

* Jedo Glitch // https://legaia.fandom.com/wiki/Lapis_(Legend_of_Legaia_Boss)#Jedo-Glitch
 - if you have Jedo you can easily kill the hidden boss Lapis. Let Lapis drain your MP and then use Spikefish Flute to escape the battle. Re-enter the boss battle, use an item to restore MP, summon Jedo, and you win. With this glitch you can beat the hardest boss in the game in only two turns.

* Early Evil Talisman // https://legaia.fandom.com/wiki/Dark_Eclipse
 - after defeating Songi and freeing Saryu, you will be in Ratayu. Head over to the laboratory and approach the guarded door. Walk at the door from an angle, mashing the X button, and you may just bypass the guard and get through the door. This will allow you to get the Evil Talisman for the Juggernaut summon without needing to grind to level 99.

* Incense glitch
 - if the depleted incense dialogue box pops up while you trigger a loading zone, the dialogue box bypasses the trigger, allowing for potential out of bounds exploration. This allows you to skip the dream sequences and the Jett fight.

* Easy Berserker // https://www.legendoflegaia.net/games/1/59
 - use Nighto against Berserker and it will confuse it or rarely kill it immediately.

* War God Icon glitch // https://www.legendoflegaia.net/games/1/122
 - if you win this via the Master Course at the Muscle Dome BEFORE you defeat Jett at Absolute Fortress, it will say you obtained the item but it won't show up in your inventory, meaning you'll never get it.

Legend of Zelda series

* The Legend of Zelda: Unlocking door // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXZw_R9d9E0
 - enter Eagle dungeon, leave, and re-enter. The locked door will be unlocked.

* The Legend of Zelda: Easy healing
 - warp to fairy fountain and get healed. Save the game to the second save slot. You should be
able to walk around getting constant heals by the fairies.

* The Legend of Zelda: Warp to Zelda // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fj9u00PMkYU
 - on the Famicom Disk System version of the game, you can corrupt memory values and execute
arbitrary code to warp to Zelda. Click the video link for details.

* The Adventure of Link: Fairy Warp glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm8008y41_0
 - jump Link upwards so he's offscreen (use the Jump Spell if need be). Then cast Fairy Spell as
Link is offscreen, Link will warped somewhere else.

* A Link to the Past: Exploration glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiNjO_6DKrI
 - jump over a ledge and in mid-air save, quit, and reload. Link will be underground, able to
bypass walls. From here you can go fight Gannon. Result: a speedrun in under 15 minutes.
 - get the Cane of Somaria. Approach a doorway. Throw down a block, walk into the doorway and pick
it up. Throw the block so it goes deeper into the door. Pick it up and hold down the opposite
direction of the doorway entrance. Throw the block, move in that direction, pick it up again,
until you're as deep as you can go. This will corrupt the room data, affecting chest contents.

* A Link to the Past: early Magic Cape
 - enter Dark World and go to the Graveyard. Stand where you would get the Magic Cape in the Light
World. Go as far left as you can and use the Magic Mirror. Now dash into the grave to snag the
Magic Cape.

* A Link to the Past: credits warp // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdKRCne1UNU
 - by getting stuck in the southern wall of the fortune teller's house, you will make the game
read controller input data as code instructions. With the right inputs you can instruct the game
to warp you to the end credits. Probably TAS only.

* Link's Awakening: Screen Warp
 - get as close to the edge of the screen as you can. Move into it and press Select just before it
scrolls. Press Select again and Link will warped a few screens over.

* Ocarina of Time: Infinite Sword glitch
 - get near a sign or person. Shield yourself and attack. Interact with that sign/person mid-
attack and your sword will glow white, infinitely attacking.
  ~ if you do a jump attack for this glitch, doing a crouch stab in this form will make your
attacks do the jump attack damage constantly for maximum damage.
  ~ also works in Majora's Mask.

* Ocarina of Time: Bomb hover
 - do the Infinite Sword glitch. Go up to a ledge facing away from it. Drop a bomb/bomchu and do a
backflip just before it explodes and shield yourself to hover in mid-air. Rinse and repeat.
  ~ also works in Majora's Mask.

* Ocarina of Time: Swordless Link
 - during the final boss battle with Ganon, when he knocks Link's sword out of his hands, save the
game and reset. You can use items on Epona and all manner of glitchy weirdness.

* Ocarina of Time: Reverse Bottle Adventure
 - have zero Deku Sticks. Steal the Fishing Rod by swimming close to the exit, diving down and
rapidly mashing B while ascending. Get a Bug/Fish bottle. Empty the contents and catch them again
so Link is holding the bottle. Jump off a ledge and press the C-button for the bottle and then
press B. The item ID of the item in C-right will change.

* Majora's Mask: any item Epona
 - ride on Epona into Milk Road. Z-target the Owl statue and save your game. Reset and reload that
save file. You can now use certain items on Epona.
  ~ using the Ocarina allows you to warp and take Epona anywhere (except Ikana Canyon unless
you've defeated Twinmold)
  ~ wearing a mask will make Link get off Epona but still let you control her.

* Majora's Mask: bottle corruption // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4t3RDg79Rxg
 - have a bottle with something inside it. Go to the Curiosity Shop. Sell the item with 'Yes' but
immediately hit the Start button and equip any item you want to replace with the bottle. Now to go
to where Hot Spring Water is. Use the bottle you got to collect the spring water. Weird things
will happen based on the item replaced and version of the game.

* Oracle of Ages: Veran Warp // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyrgBa-Brd8
 - using instructions too dense to list here, you can glitch the game into sending you from the
Mermaid's Cave to the Black Tower.

* The Wind Waker: Storage // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvuwqNct9xE
 - if you interrupt a cutscene with a frame-specific action, the game will be tricked into
thinking the cutscene flag is still active. There are multiple ways to get storage:
  ~ take out your Wind Waker and put it away. Climb up a ledge or something that gives you
elevation. Use your Wind Waker just as you climb up and cancel the Wind Waker 3 frames before you
hit the ground.
  ~ use your Wind Waker on the same frame the your Forest Water expires.
  ~ jumpslash onto a ledge, go forward a tiny bit, put down a bomb, spin around and take out the
Wind Waker, turn around and run into the bomb and cancel the Wind Waker.

* The Wind Waker: Superswim
 - get Storage and go near the water. Take out the Wind Waker. Walk into the water. Hold the
control stick upward to build up speed. Release the control stick and Link will accelerate
backwards, swimming at ludicrous speed.

* The Wind Waker: Zombie Hover // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okqmmvJKVmU
 - get almost no health left. Face a ledge you can't reach. Place down a bomb. Hold L and mash A
and B together. Once off the ground you can just mash B. You will gain height. Land on a heart or
fairy or in a loading zone to prevent dying upon landing.

* Twilight Princess: Back in Time // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0Rv6ZES7N0
 - go to Arbiter Grounds and jump into the sandpit. When you see just barely see Link, pause and
reset. Once the save file loads don't move around; instead jump off the bridge until you die. The
game will spawn you to where the title screen takes place: the Bridge of Eldin.. You'll have the
Ordon Sword, Hylian Shield, and Hero's Clothes.
  ~ don't enter the Elde Inn in Kakariko Village and talk to the Twilit Bulblins or Link will be
trapped.

* Twilight Princess: Map Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BAygtsEu0U
 - press D-Right + Z at the same exact time on the GameCube version, or press the map shortcut
button + call Midna button at the same time on the Wii version. Select any warp location and Midna
will interrupt the warp. This will load a map with no triggers and some collision data. To undo
this glitch warp to another area.

* Twilight Princess: Broken bridge glitch
 - in some versions of the game, blowing up the Bridge of Eldin but then immediately saving and
reloading the file, you'll be on the other side of the bridge, unable to progress in the game.

* Skyward Sword: Back in Time Warp // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFhU7AH7GX4
 - get killed to trigger the Game Over screen. Select Continue and then immediately reset the
game. Link will fall down during the title screen. While in Skyloft go to a Bird Statue. Activate
the Bird Statue while opening the file save menu, choose a location to warp to and then choose to
save the game. Your file will be loaded and you'll spawn at the chosen warp location.

* Skyward Sword: Unwinnable game
 - on unpatched early versions of the game, complete the Thunder Dragon quest and talk to Golo the
Goron twice. You will not be able to complete the Song of the Hero quest due to scripted events
not triggering.

* A Link Between Worlds: Skip Knucklemaster // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iakLx5Rfvvo
 - as soon as the Knucklemaster boss battle starts, run to the top of the room. When Knucklemaster
rams at you, immediately use the Tornado Rod before he hits you. Hold up in the air and you'll go
through the wall, skipping the boss.

* A Link Between Worlds Glitches: Rift Clip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ6zsrIZU9U
 - go up to a rift with an enemy nearby. Lure the enemy over to you. Stun the enemy, walk into it
for contact damage, and run through the enemy into the portal. Most times this will send you into
a bottomless void but you can get buried treasure if they are a level below you.

* Hyrule Warriors: Infinite Rupee // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEzlFeE0t2U
 - get a weapon with Rupees+. Now battle a big boss, like King Dodongo or Gohma. Wear down their
Weak Point Gage but don't use the Weak Point Smash. While the boss is disintegrating quickly
attack a small enemy. 9,999,999 Rupees will be rewarded.

* Breath of the Wild: insta kill bosses // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJ_aO0WQQ2k
 - stand just outside a boss battle trigger. Jump, fire an arrow where the boss will spawn, and
land into the trigger. The boss will take a pissload of damage, enough to usually kill it after
the cutscene.
  ~ patched?

* Breath of the Wild: Infinite Horse Stamina // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEjVmRlR7jU
 - equip a shield and a bow with at least one arrow. While on your horse, hold the target, action,
and bow buttons at the same time, and then tap the jump button. Your horse's energy will not
deplete.
  ~ does not work when going downhill, only flat land and uphill.

############################################################

LittleBigPlanet

* Ghost Sack // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OJoRczamCw
 - be in Creative mode with someone else (online or solo with another controller). Place a jetpack
spawner in the air close above a checkpoint respawner. Switch to the other controller/person and move
the checkpoint respawner offscreen from the other guy, thus moving the jetpack spawner with it.
Wait until the other guy spawns in the checkpoint respawner. Move the checkpoint spawner and he
will die and respawn when you next stop moving it. Switch to the other guy and suicide from the
Popit menu. He will respawn as an intangible ghost with a jetpack affixed to him.
  ~ the method to make an intangible ghost sack is different in LittleBigPlanet 2 and too long to describe here, so check out the video // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apDSUE22oaQ

* Left corner jump (LCJ)
 - stand in front of a left-facing corner ledge in a different layer. Jump and just as you pass it
jump again. Your jump height will be boosted by 4x.

############################################################

Mass Effect

* Equip any armour
 - open the equipment menu and select the armour you want to equip
 - going down the list, count how many armour you have including the one you selected
 - go back to the desired armour you want to equip
 - select upgrade, choose Omni-Gel but hit the back button the moment you hit that button
 - count upward the number you got earlier from counting your armour
 - equip that armour and transfer the upgrade
  ~ this glitch allows you to wear any armour regardless of type

* Infinite Experience glitch
 - on Therum, clear out the geth in the Prothean ruins. Go up the elevator and you'll get experience points. Immediately save the game (do not talk to Liara yet). Now load the save file you just saved/created. You'll get experience points again. Rinse and repeat.

############################################################

Mass Effect 2

* Infinite Squad Point glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6NRuWIELOY
 - get to rank 3 on any power
 - get an extra squad point
 - highlight the rank 3 power
 - hit the Undo Talent Points and Purchase Rank buttons at the same exact time
 - you will gain 10 squad points; rinse and repeat
  ~ this had been patched

* Infinite Paragon/Renegade glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3Kg07iDdUI
 - get to Lazarus Station
 - fight your way to Wilson
 - use an overload on the canisters
 - walk forward and choose whatever Paragon or Renegade option you want
 - quicksave the game
 - load your quicksave
 - walk forward and choose whatever Paragon or Renegade option you want
 - rinse and repeat
  ~ this has probably been patched

############################################################

Medievil
 - on the map screen, if you can open the 'replay level' and 'save game' menus open at the same time and select yes, you can bring up the respective menus while playing the level. Collect a rune, save the game, quit the game, reload the save, and you'll find the rune in your inventory.
  ~ this glitch allows you to smuggle runes into levels. This has speedrunning potential, such as it being a slower albeit consistent alternative to the Dragon Gate Skip, a dreaded run-killer.

############################################################

Metal Gear Solid

* Major skip (5 bosses)
 - in B1 Floor of the Tank Hanger, go to the where the ladder on the right is. There is a vent. Crawl on your stomach and get your lower half through the vent. Now go into first person mode and stand up. You will now be in the wall. You can now walk through walls! Walk into the Medi Room and you will be transported to the torture sequence. Five bosses have been defeated but you won't have many supplies.

* Skip Hind D and Elevator 1 fights
 - go into the tower and get to the cutscene where Snake looks at the damaged stairs and goes "DAMN!" Do the weapons glitch (see below) to remove the glitched Stinger. The elevator cutscene with Otacon won't load. Entering and then re-entering the rooftop with the Hind D causes it to despawn, as we don't have the Stinger.

* Skip Sniper Wolf
 - after the cutscene where Sniper Wolf shoots you and you get the CODEC call, do the weapons glitch. Now you can cross the field without being sniped. This allows you to skip Sniper Wolf, though you will need to backtrack to reclaim your Stinger.

* Weapons glitch
 - if caught an explosion, unequip your item and go into first=person. This causes Weapon B to become Weapon A, such as equipping your chaff grenade and having it act like a Stinger.

* Faster run
 - holding a Chaff grenade will make you run a bit faster

############################################################

Metroid Fusion

* Skip to end of game with memory corruption // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnpelN7X11Q
 - Save the game first. By going out of bounds and laying power bombs, the game is confused as to the affected blocks. Since you are out of bounds, the game will access RAM addresses outside the block data. Blowing up 10 blocks will shift the affected memory addresses to be the event data. Blowing up specific blocks will give those addresses specific values. Once that is all done, die by suicide (as to not wipe over the memory addresses written). The game will load in a state that thinks the final boss is dead. Simply reenter the boss room to remind the game that it is dead. End of the game. Seriously, just watch the video.

############################################################

Muppet Monster Adventure

* Token Duplication
 - if you collect a token after you finish a level, you will have obtained the token but it won't be removed from the level. You can do this by walking into the token and exiting to the HUB. Robin will still be moving a few frames before you exit the level, and in that time he should get the token. Easy Any%.

############################################################

Neverwinter Nights

* Item duplication
 - drop an item near a Divining Pool, interact with the Divining Pool and you can buy the item you dropped, keeping the original. This is most useful for plot-required items, allowing you to skip most of some chapters, such as chapters two and three.
  ~ patched

* Infinite money
 - in Chapter 1 ask Aribeth to answers your questions and then ask how to use the Stone of Recall. You'll get 100gp at the end of the conversation. Rinse and repeat.
  ~ it's a slow way of making money but you can do this at the very start of the game.

* Easy exp and items
 - complete the Guardian of Helm quest. As soon as the quest rewards are given and the conversation starts, reset the conversation to get the rewards again. You only get a three second window, so pause over and over again to continuously farm the exp and item rewards.

############################################################

NieR: Automata

* Double damage glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7Bmbi1GMhA
 - as 2B, assign small swords to the Heavy slot on both weapon sets. Press R2 + Heavy attack (Triangle by default). This will do tons of damage. After your first attack, swap weapon sets and do it again to attack with both at the same time.

* Bridge skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnplpZwYnOE
 - you can skip the bridge in the prologue if you high jump up a shaft and jump to the building on the other side.

############################################################

Ninja Gaiden

* Warp bug:
 - this is for the PC Engine version. Throwing ninja stars at certain frames makes them release faster. When six are on screen at once, the sixth ninja star will cause memory overflow. Ryu's horizontal height will affect the RAM address value. This value, when high enough, clears the stage. Due to this glitch you can beat the game in under 5 minutes by skipping through many stages.

############################################################

No Man's Sky

* Duplication glitch
 - Get in your ship and create a save point.
 - Put the item/s you want to duplicate into Portable Refiners..
 - Get back in your ship and get back out.
 - Take all the items out of the refiners.
 - Get back in your ship.
 - Go into space and summon a space anomaly.
 - As soon as you enter it open your inventory and transfer an item you don't want to somebody.
 - when your ship lands don't get out but load your autosave.
 - the items will still be in the Portable Refiners but you now have duplicates in your inventory.
  ~ may be patched.

############################################################

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee/Exoddus

* Death Delay
 - leap or roll into an explosion to trigger the glitch. This is easier if you use a rock to detonate a mine. Abe will become invisible and unable to die, save for falling too far and getting zapped. This also works in New 'n' Tasty.

* Enter door avoid explosion
 - if you enter a door on the frame you touch an explosion, you will harmlessly go through the door, triggering the explosion.

* Auto Turn Delay
 - stand on the edge of a ledge. Press down and quickly run from the ledge. Now when you press down you will climb down wherever you are.

* Stop Turn and Backwards Jump
 - crouch down and roll. Stop, stand, and turn around quickly. When you are standing at an incorrect frame, Abe will jump. By rolling and then standing in an incorrect frame, you will jump backwards. You can exploit this to get through walls.

############################################################

Ogre Battle 64

* Infinite Item Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f4glPDLXYg&t=1220s
 - form a unit where a person who can leave the unit and can only carry only one item e.g. a Soldier.
 - on that person fill up every item slot except the last two, with the last slot being the item you want to duplicate. You must have only 1 of that item in your inventory.
 - select Remove Character to remove that person.
 - replace the item in the second slot (the one you want to duplicate).
 - go to Sell Item and sell enough of that item to go below 0.
 - leave the Organize Screen and re-enter it
 - you will now have 255 of that item (even if it doesn't say you have 255).

############################################################

Ori and the Blind Forest

* Keystone duplication glitch
 - place a soul link outside an area that has keystones
 - collect however many you need, taking damage as you do
 - be at the door when near-death
 - put your keystones in
 - staying still, take damage and die
 - viola, your keystones got refunded and the ones you collected respawn

############################################################

Psychonauts

* Flying glitch // https://psychonauts.fandom.com/wiki/Levitation#Flight_Glitch
 - jump and hit the float button
 - while floating, rapidly switch pressing hitting float and levitate
 - Rez will be slowly rising up as you do this
  ~ this seems to be PC only as it needs more than 30 FPS

* Water Skip
 - when you land in water, you would normally bounce three times before you are pulled down and drowned. On the third bounce rapidly hit the cancel and jump button. This will cancel out the death cutscene and give you two more bounces. This can be used to explore and/or sequence break.

############################################################

Ratchet & Clank

* Decoy Glove clipping
 - using the Decoy Glove, you can stand against a corner or wall and a use decoy right next to you to push you through the wall.
  ~ this also works in Going Commando with the Decoy Glove and Up Your Arsenal with the Miniturret Glove.

* Unlimited bolts
 - go to Rilgar and head to the Hoverboard Girl area. Use the Hologuise, enter a race, and you will enter the hoverboard race on foot. Use the Taunter and you'll be breaking bolt crates indefinitely due to them respawning,
  ~ the above method is PS2 only. You can still get into the race on foot in the Ratchet & Clank Collection. Do the Decoy Glove clipping glitch to get through the wall near the back area of the Hoverboard Girl area. Then fly down to the course below.

* Zombie Ratchet
 - on the planets Umbris and Veldin, there is mud nearby Swingshot targets. Jump into the mud and use the slingshot. If timed correctly, Ratchet will drown in the mud but be saved the Swingshot. Ratchet will be in a zombie like state, able to clip through walls.
  ~ this glitch ends when you die or change planets.
  ~ also works on other R&C games

############################################################

Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando

* Wall climbing
 - beat the game and play on Challenge Mode. Go into first person mode, go up to a wall, and high jump (R1+X) and tap Square before you land.
 ~ patched on the PS3 version

* Wrench jump
 - charge off a ledge with your charge boots and mash Square. As soon as Ratchet swings his wrench, press R1+X to long-jump in mid-air.

* Unlimited Bolts // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3EjMv50czw
 - head to Grelbin and enter the factory. Head up the floating platforms and ready your Decoy Glove. Launch them behind you to get pushed through the forcefield. Use the Sheepinator on the robot and it will respawn indefinitely, dropping unlimited bolts.

############################################################

Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal

Lots of movement tech here // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AY4NgBuSkdw

* Infinite Jump // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsL5jRMTXtk
 - jump and use the Tyhrra-Guise in mid-air, attack, jump, swap back to the Tyhrra-Guise, attack, jump, and repeat. It's cumbersome but it works.

* Whip Jump
 - get the Plasma Whip. Charge off a ledge with your charge boots, hold forward, L1, and mash Circle. As soon as Ratchet swings the whip let go of L1 and Circle and press R1+X to long-jump in mid-air.

* Qwark Warp // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHb98FOlCw4
 - if you go out of bounds on Veldin and cross a checkpoint as you die, you'll die in the airship you warp to. Beat the level and go to Florana. For some reason you'll be skipped straight to the Quark boss fight.
  ~ this only works on the German or Spanish versions of the game. Why? I don't know.

* Nerves of Titanium bolt easy
 - be in Aridia and get a trophy and open a load screen. When the trophy notification appears, head to the Phoenix. This causes the game to load both Airidia and the Phoenix, breaking the collision detection of the level. This allows you to go straight for the Titanium Bolt in Nevers of Titanium without doing any of the arena challenges.
  ~ PS3 version only.

############################################################

Ratchet: Deadlocked

* Early Ghost Station // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-HoJmKGFmk
 - go to the Ace Hardlight fight and load a fresh save file but cancel the difficulty selection screen. This puts the game in a hybrid state where you resume gameplay but the game thinks you're playing the fresh file. Defeat Ace Hardlight. Load the fresh save file and cancel the difficulty selection screen. Beat the tutorial and Marauder Tournament and the Ghost Station will be unlocked.

############################################################

Ratchet & Clank Collection
* Quit Exploit // https://tcrf.net/Bugs:Ratchet_%26_Clank_Collection#Game_Quit_Glitch
 - Ratchet 2 and 3 (and Deadlock HD) has a glitch that can enable you to glitch your save file with custom values. With some fiddling around you can adjust values for weapon prices and ammo, health and bolt count, and more.

############################################################

Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction

* Wall clawing // https://ratchetandclank.fandom.com/wiki/Razor_Claws#Glitches
 - high jump against a wall, attack the wall, and then immediately high jump again, rinse and repeat. When you attack the wall with the claws, the game thinks you're on the ground for a split second, hence you can high jump again. This glitch is fun for exploring and/or sequence breaking.
  ~ this also works on thin air provided the high-jump timing is good.

* God Ratchet // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irVix9cN4ak
 - if you stand on a spot where you can get stuck the game will solve this by killing you. During the endless fall animation, launch a Visi-copter. You'll die but your hitbox is not on Ratchet, enabling invincibility. Throwing another Visi-copter out or falling to your death resets it.
 - another method is to jump and activate the holo-pirate disguise and then quickly launch a Visi-copter before you hit the ground. Use the copter to push Ratchet to his death and he'll respawn without his hitbox.

* Visi-Copter clipping // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-G5JR2yxNs
 - putting Ratchet into a corner and steering a visi-copter into him can push him through walls. This can be useful, such as skipping the elevator on planet Viceron.

* IRIS skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJDyqQeotXU
 - when playing as Clank on the Kreeli Comet, gather the four Zoni and head to the corner of the area with electrified floor panels. Fall off the ledge while activating time stop and hover up to the blue line of the platform. Once he falls down a bit deactivate time stop, hold up, and then reactivate it once he begins hovering. Guide him to the area  to the left. To get back to the main path, levitate into the slope to make a Zoni land there, then levitate again, land on the Zoni, and then levitate again, heading leftward onto the ledge.

############################################################

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time

* Hoverboots boost // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyhQ7Sq6rLc
 - equip the hoverboots. Do a double jump, but hold R2 the same time you tap the X button again. This will give you speed, enough to do sequence breaking with. Hyperstrike will give you a bit of height and extra distance.

* Vorselon's Ship glitch
 - after you defeat Vorselon's fighters but before you land at his ship, save the game. Just as you finish the first Vorselon's Ship level, where the game freeze for a moment to play the cutscene, load the save file you made earlier. Then progress through the game and defeat the Bronze Cup in the Agorian Battleplex. As the victory cutscene plays, pause and reload the save you made again. Enter Vorselon's Ship but just before the loading screen, pause and reload the auto-save at the Battleplex. Now finish Vorselon's Ship v2. Once you've left, return to Vorselon's Ship and then leave again. This counts as you beating Vorselon's Ship v3. This glitch saves around seven minutes in a speedrun.
  ~ I'm sure I butchered this explanation.

* Early Terahnos
 - the planet has satellites that repel you until you can destroy them later in the story. To get in early, push against them while barrel-rolling leftwards, mashing X. Towards the edge of their orbit you should find a brief window to sneak inside and access the planet.

Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus

* Terrorizer clipping
 - put on the Big Weapon Mode cheat, get into a corner or wall, fire a Nightmare Box/Terrorizer behind you and you'll pop through the wall.

* Terrorizer platform
 - launch a Nightmare Box/Terrorizer and you can high jump onto it and use that to onto a higher ledge
.
* Terrorizer launch
 - this one is like rocket jumping: while walking forward, point the Nightmare Box/Terrorizer at the ground, jump and launch it. You'll cross a large distance.

############################################################

Remember Me

* Airwalking // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-BfDfbvCoc
 - run up to a ledge and jump right onto the edge of it. Immediately jump off towards another ledge. Attack just before you grab the ledge. You will now be walking in the air.

############################################################

Resident Evil

* Chemical Skip:
 - you can skip needing to get the 'Chemical to use on plants' item by running against the wall in a certain way. You will be whacked by the tentacles but you are able to get in, grab the Mansion Key, and get out, without needing to get the herbicide.

* Serum Skip:
 - when you approach Richard dying in the hallway, pause during an exact frame at the start of the cutscene and unpausing will allow you to control Jill during the cutscene. Leave the room, wait a bit, and come back and Richard will be dead. This saves around 2 minutes in a speedrun.

* Barry Glitch:
 - when Jill and Barry enter the dining room, pausing just at the right time will freeze Barry in place, skipping the cutscene where he examines the blood.

* Radio Skip:
 - as you approach the radio in the Main Garden, if you pause the game just as the camera angle changes, you will skip the cutscene of acquiring the radio, but you will still obtain the radio.

* Rope Skip:
 - after the rope cutscene, if you go down the ladder as soon as the Barry cutscene starts, you can skip it. This saves around 50 seconds.

* Plant42 Glitch:
 - kill Plant42 and leave the room just as its death cutscene plays. Then re-enter and kill Plant42 again. This skips the cutscene of Barry arriving.

############################################################

Resident Evil 2

* Control during cutscene:
 - much like with the first game, if you pause the game or perform an action on the first frame of a cutscene, you can move during the cutscene.

* Time Manipulation:
 - on the PC version, hitting F8 will make the game go fullscreen. This slows down the ingame time.

* Prevent zombie spawn:
 - using the Cord on the southwest corridor shutter panel in the A Scenario will prevent zombies from spawning in basement in the B Scenario. (is this a glitch? or an intended feature?)

############################################################

Resident Evil 3
* Corner Bug
 - when you fight Nemesis in the police station, lure him into the room where you found Marvin. Get into the corner next to the bookcase. Nemesis will get stuck on the bookcase, unable to attack you. It is possible to defeat Nemesis with the knife without using lots of ammo.

############################################################

Rise of the Tomb Raider

* Cards Exploit // https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/42222-expedition-card-exploit
 - buy bronze packs for 4k credits each
 - open them and sell off all the gold and blue cards you get (this makes your money back)
 - once you start getting multiple golds, keep a least two per pack
 - then move onto blue cards, keeping at least two per pack
 - by the end of this you'll be getting black cards, completing your card collection
  ~ be sure to keep your credits at around 25k for the black foil card packs

############################################################

Rogue Legacy

* Ghost form glitch
 - get a heir with the Quantum Translocator spell
 - find a teleporter
 - jump over the teleporter and put a shadow down
 - stand on the teleporter and use the Quantum Translocator
 - use the teleporter as you start to teleport to your shadow
 - cancel the teleport
  ~ this makes your model mostly invisible and able to avoid most attacks

* Boss Dash glitch
 - stand in front of a boss door. Dash and hit the map button. Leave the map screen and enter the door while still dashing. You will now be moving during the cutscene, able to get free cheap hits on the boss.
  ~ patched

* Timestop glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZlTQi-M1-0
 - get the Timestop spell. Once you beat The Furnace, stand in front of the door, use Timestop, and enter the door and the credits will glitch up.
  ~ patched?

############################################################

Rolan's Curse

* Skip to end of game:
 - if the first boss is killed at the exact same time the player's HP goes to zero, the game will think the final boss was killed for some reason. '

############################################################

Secret of Mana

* Skip to end of game // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxXXID7rYIE
 - Picking up a barrel triggers a dialogue box, '___'s barreled!'. Then talk to the cannon man to trigger the dialogue glitch. By repeatedly opening and closing the cannon man's dialogue box on certain frames, the dialogue options will underflow. This underflow will make the commands flow into events. From there you can select the script that plays the end screen. Seriously, watch the video of it.

* Experience glitch
 - get into an encounter with an enemy that can cast Wall on itself, like Aegagropilon
 - unequip everything from the party member you want dead
 - wait until the enemy casts Wall on itself
 - cast Sprite on the enemy
 - hope that the spell reflects and hits your unequipped teammate
 - all of your surviving teammates should get loads o' exp

* Trials Barrier Skip // twitch.tv/videos/40707177
 - go up to Joch on Lofty Mountains
 - push yourself into the right wall beside Joch as Randi/Boy
 - charge your sword to Lvl 1
 - release the charge and immediately swap to Primm/Girl
 - move left and talk to Joch
 - if successful, Randi/Boy will be propelled behind the stalagmites barrier

Shadow Man

Various glitches useful for speedrunning // http://www.lordofdeadside.com/glitches.html

* Dark Soul #121
 - a bug can occur where a soul can reappear to be collected again. Despite the name you can get more than 121 souls via exploiting this. This bug seems to be random and further research and testing is needed.

############################################################

Silent Hill

* Nightmare Alley Skip Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gf0RZjduK-I
 - at the beginning of the game, you can get past the script that makes you say "I'd better follow Cheryl..." by pausing the game at the same frame you trigger the event. This will skip the trigger. Unpause and you will be able to explore Old Silent Hill, including finding a non-solid model of Cheryl.

* Skip Monster Cybil // https://silenthill.fandom.com/wiki/Monster_Cybil
 - you can skip the boss fight with Monster Cybil by using the unknown liquid on any of the Larval Stalker at the park grounds before getting on the merry-go-round. This will play a broken cutscene. This glitch will spare Cybil.

* No clipping  // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwvmvWub1QU
 - get a Romper to knock Harry into a transition (not a loading transition). This will mess with the game's collision detection, allowing you to walk through walls and out of bounds. This is a pretty precise trick.

############################################################

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus

* Super Jumping
 - repeatedly jump with such timing that no dust appears around Sly's feet. Swinging your cane as
soon as you jump can help you.

* Cannon Skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=1671&v=jl5hDVihQb4
 - in Prowling the Grounds, approach the cannon from the right side and press yourself into it so
that Sly's face clips through. Now jump away and super jump (see above technique) out towards the
water path and land between the metal grate and the barrels. Sly will zip back to his last
position on solid ground, clipping though the cannon, crossing the trigger and thus activating the
cannon. This will send you to The Eye of the Storm, the last job of the first episode.

* Muggshot Catapult glitch // https://youtu.be/jl5hDVihQb4?t=3841
 - at Muggshot's Turf, Stand on the rocks to the left of the bordered-up entrance. Line yourself
up, jump, aim up-right and swing the cane down at the bottom of the descent. You'll be proxy
launched high in the air. From there you can run along the rooftops to get inside the casino, and
then by following the video link you'll see how to skip straight to Muggshot.

* Skip to Panda King // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaYQIMZMaro
 - get a charm. Approach the Duel by the Dragon portal and jump around it. Align yourself with the
plank and dark line on the rooftop and super jump off the roof east of the portal. Land on the log
below. Lock the camera and jump down into the water with down+right. You'll clip through the
water. Tap X when in the darkness and you'll use your charm to shoot upwards. Now move forward in
the air and you'll head into Flame Fu!

Sly 2: Band of Thieves

list of glitches //
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cHv6xV8bUBOsDsywr4Y2JKTq-
O3PQaak5YR3w1JK1XA/edit

but here are some highlights:

* Glitch High Jump // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_whYx21gpo
 - hold Square to begin your spin attack and then spam the X button to gain height.

* Paraglide clip
 - in the PS3 HD version, if you paraglide into a tight corner you may clip through or shoot up into the air, or the game might crash.

* Table clip
 - go near a table or vent you can crawl under/into. Hold Square and spam Circle. For tables you will be launched forward, even clipping walls. For vents you will clip underneath them.

* Bottle crashing // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-k3f0mTT5
 - for the PS3 HD version. Paraglide into a tight corner with a ceiling and the game screen will go black. You will instantly get all the bottles in the level, hence the name. Uses for this glitch are still being investigated.

############################################################

 Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves

* Ghost Hack
 - during the System Cracker hacking minigame, when your ship dies it still has a few frames of momentum before it fails you. If you cross the exit trigger during this death momentum, your ship will no-clip harmlessly through walls and enemies on subsequent hacks in that job.
  ~ your ship may appear invisible in some hacks.

* Better jumps
 - when you use your Rocket Boots in a new load-zone area, your jumps will carry the momentum, allowing for faster movement.

* Jump up slopes
 - the spiral-dive + feral pounce attack gives half a second of leeway to jump up the slope repeatedly. This is because the game still thinks you're on a surface you can jump on.

############################################################

Spider-Man (2000)

* Elevator Descent Skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iy5Q27hdY1Y
 - when the level starts, jump off and land onto the wall to the right. Look up and aim your swing target as close to the elevator as possible, then swing. In done correctly Spidey will be bumped off the elevator, fall a bit out of bounds and fall past the layers of symbiotic goo. This allows you to beat the level in under 60 seconds if done flawlessly.

* Warehouse Skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tTKP-Q50_c
 - on Waterfront Warehouse, jump onto the stack of boxes and try to fall in-between the box and the barrel. If done correctly you'll be out of bounds. Then run over to the edge of the room and swing up into the vent. Jump and swing to the next section. Then carefully jump down into the level ending trigger. This allows you to beat the level in around a minute.

* Chase Venom Bug
 - on the level Chase Venom, a bug can occur when Spidey has incorrect pathing and will run and jump into a nearby wall rather than chase Venom. This bug will often lead to you failing the mission and getting a game-over.

############################################################

Spyro the Dragon

* Invincibility glitch:
 - get rid of Sparx and then stand by an unclaimed dragon. Let an enemy hit you into the dragon. You will free the dragon but you are technically dead. Now Spyro is invincible. Landing in water will lead to interesting results.

* Proxy jump:
 - in Magic Crafters, charge down the supercharge ramp to the end of the level, pass the two wizards. Let one of them zap you and will be launched into the air.

* Standing on water:
 - in Twilight Harbour, some of the water at the very beginning of the level is not flagged to be harmful, allowing you to stand harmlessly upon it like any other surface.
 - in Dark Passage, the purple water in one of the pools near the fifth dragon is likewise not flagged as harmful. This is only present in the NTSC 1.0 release.

* Glitchy dragon cutscene
 - in Dry Canyon, go to where Boris is. Stand on the dragon portal just about near the edge and replay the dragon. When the cutscene plays, Spyro will do his scripted walk path, and can go through the floor. Spyro will be absent in the cutscene. After it ends, Spyro will die.

* Fairies trolling
 - in High Caves, if you fall off the world, fairies will save you. If you are fast enough after being saved, you can run down the ramp, lose your supercharge just before the ledge, and jump and charge off the cliff, the fairies will barely rescue you in time. However, you have descended so far downward that the fairies' scripted path for dumping you off is also very low, so you are basically dropped off below the drop-off point, which makes you under the floor, leading you to fall to your death.

############################################################

Spyro 2

* Double Jump
 - in the NTSC version of the game, jump and then charge at the top of the jump. You should get a little bit extra height that you can exploit to really explore seemingly inaccessible areas, and even skip paying Moneybags at times.

* Swim in the air
 - typically, flying out of bounds and then headbashing underwater activates this glitch. You can do this in Winter Tundra by double jumping up the mountain, flying over to the river, and headbashing whilst directly under it. Also present in Spyro 3.
 - also typically, if you get zapped by Zoe as you are underwater, the next time you die you will respawn swimming in the air. Also present in Spyro 3.
 - in Summer Forest, head over to the water where the underwater cave entrance is. While in the water, face the tree closest to you and dive underwater and eventually you'll be swimming in the air.
 - in Mystic Marsh, kill three of the four dingo thieves. Kill the fourth one by charging at it into the water and being underwater before the cutscene plays and you will respawn swimming in the air.
 - also in Mystic Marsh, when returning the pencil to the Professor, if you spit the pencil at him and then quickly dive underwater, you will teleport to the progress underwater.
 - in Breeze Harbour, go to the pool that has water covering some steps. Whilst swimming, charge into the steps and you will be swimming in the air. Getting hit will crash the game.
 - in Sunny Beach, talk to the chef and then dive into the water behind the cauldron area. Once a turtle jumps and ends the challenge, you should respawn swimming in air. I accidentally had this glitch happen to me when I played the demo of Spyro 2.

* Proxy jump:
 - enemies and fodder have a 'death window', the period of time between their death and their model going poof. If you kill an enemy/fodder and jump+charge into their corpse at the right time, the game will force Spyro out of the collision by launching him high into the air. This also works in Spyro 3.

* Skip to Crush
 - in Summer Plains, go to the switch door that connects the tree room to the path to Moneybags. Hit the switch to remove the door, stand where the door is and flame to just barely hit the switch. You will now be trapped inside the door. Double jump over the wall and then glide to the loading zone for the Crush boss battle.

* Skip to Gulp // https://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=Ym5MYOGXSgU
 - double jump onto the Breezer Harbour portal and then onto the roofs and climb up to the rooftop. Go down the shaft and then face the left corner of this ledge and slowly walk into it. You will be lodged into the wall. Now jump and glide to the portal of the Gulp boss fight.

* Skip to Ripto
 - using the double jump glitch you can climb up the mountain. Get out of bounds and then fly to the loading zone for the Ripto fight. This skip, combined with the previous two skips, enables you to beat Spyro 2 with zero talismans, and all under ten minutes if performed fast enough.

############################################################

Spyro 3

* Higher jump:
 - if you face away from your destination and then jump and turn as you are jumping, you will gain a little bit extra height. Helpful for speedrunning and possibly exploration.

 * Swim in the air:
 - typically, flying out of bounds and then headbashing underwater activates this glitch. You can do this in Winter Tundra by double jumping up the mountain, flying over to the river, and headbashing whilst directly under it. Also present in Spyro 2.
 - also typically, if you get zapped by Zoe as you are underwater, the next time you die you will respawn swimming in the air. Also present in Spyro 2.
 - in Bamboo Terrace , go to the waterfall, dive under the water and charge against the edge.
 - in Dino Mines, after the big water area, there is Zoe hovering just above the ledge. Jump at her and charge just before you reach the edge. With good timing she will zap you whilst underwater. Underwater zap = respawn swimming in the air
 - go to any level with a hazardous floor. Jump on it and continue taking damage, and right when you are about to land and die, exit the level. Now enter a level where you start underwater and when you swim out of water you should still be swimming in the air.
  ~ a good example: use the acid in Lost Fleet to almost kill yourself. Exit before dying and you will be underwater in Evening Lake. Swim up out of the water and you will be swimming in the air

 * Proxy jump:
 - in Midnight Mountain, the portal to Desert Ruins is shaped in such a way that if you walk into the inner right side and continuously jump, you will be forced out of the corner at great speed. With practice and aiming, you can do then do clever climbing to enter the Sorceress' lair without getting 100 eggs.
 - in Fireworks Factory, the ninja boxes located right by the end (accessible by the cannon at the start of the level) are placed really close to the wall. Jump between the ninja box and the wall and you can be launched high in the air.

############################################################

 Spyro Reignited Trilogy

 * Balloonist Skip version 1 // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yb-XqNcAZZU
 - for Spyro 1. Stand on a dragon pad and wait. Jump as soon as Zoe talks to buffer the window. Head to a balloonist, closing Zoe's menu whenever it pops up. Mash X at the balloonist and you'll be taken straight to Gnasty Gnorc.
  ~ patched

* Balloonist Skip version 2
 - for Spyro 1. At the beginning of Peace Keepers, jump and glide into the jut in the wall on the right. Spyro will glide in place, slowly going upwards. Keep it up and you can guide Spyro out of bounds. Now run along on the solid ground out of bounds towards the balloonist. Jump into a trigger out of bounds beyond the balloonist to access his full list to get to Gnasty's World early.

* Level Storage
 - for Spyro 2. Jump into Gulp's Overlook and pause the instant you enter. If the level name on the pause screen says 'Gulp's Overlook' you've done it right. Now exit level. By moving down-right a half-step and down a step during the cutscene you'll set Spyro up to enter a speedway level. Mash the Start button and when the cutscene pauses hit X. Then hit X again and mash Triangle. Once you're in Gulp's arena, intentionally die. When you respawn you'll have the powers from the speedway levels.

* Rocket Storage
 - for Spyro 3. If you kill Scorch at the same time Bentley throws you a rocket, that one won't despawn. Grab a green rocket and you can take that power with you to Midnight Island. Red rocket won't work.

 ############################################################

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly

* Early Ripto
 - the ground surrounding Ripto's Lair has faulty collision. If you headbutt in the right place you can slip through the seams and enter Ripto Lair at the very start of the game. End result: a speedrun under two minutes!

* Jump Hover // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK8J3r2KiAc
 - jump and then hit the jump button and hover, all in quick succession. Spyro will get a little extra height, akin to a double jump.

############################################################

Subnautica

* Super seaglide
 - build a base near some Acid Mushrooms. Go outside and chop them. They will explode, killing you and damaging your base enough to flood it. You will respawn inside the now-flooded base. The game is now in a confused state and thinks you are both swimming and walking at the same time. The speed of both is added, making you move at 3x the usual speed (great for speedrunning).

############################################################

Super Mario Bros series

list of glitches // https://www.mariowiki.com/Category:Glitches
but here are some highlights:

* Super Mario Bros: Minus World // https://www.mariowiki.com/Minus_World
 - go to World 1-2 and get to the pipe at the end of the cave. Break the second and third blocks and crouch+jump backwards against the first block. You'll slide through the block and the wall. Go down the pipe here. This will take you to a glitched version of World 7-2.

* Super Mario Bros: Jump over the flagpole
 - in World 3-3 stand on the last Scale-Lift, get one side up high, then jump on it and you can go over the flagpole.

* Super Mario Bros 2: Trapped in sand
 - you can trap yourself in World 2-2 and World 3-2 if you dig too deep without getting to the goal. You will be trapped, unable to die, forcing a reset.

* Super Mario Bros. 3: infinite Magic Whistles
 - get two magic whistles and then save and quit. Now you can replay world 1-3 to get more magic whistles, saving and quitting and reloading.

* Super Mario Bros. 3: Wrong warp // youtube.com/watch?v=fxZuzos7Auk
 - in world 7-1, if you position koopa shells in a specific manner and then go down a glitched pipe, the game will be warped to Princess Peach and the credits. The game reads the coordinates of the koopa shell as instructions, allowing for arbitrary code to be written.

* Super Mario World: Credits Warp
 - touching a coin with both Mario and Yoshi's tongue confuses the game. Now you do some actions to manipulate the arbitrary code and thus warp straight to the credits, all within a minute of starting a new game!

* Super Mario World: glitched overworld
 - get to the end of Chocolate Island 3 with Yoshi. Jump off him and cross the goal. This will somehow screw up the colour palette for the overworld.

* Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island: Null egg // https://yoshi.science/wiki/index.php?title=Null_Egg
 - following instructions too long to list here (click the hyperlink), you can acquired a non-existent egg. With the right setup you can finish levels as soon as you enter them.

* Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island: Credits warp // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mfmbmy8gRpo
 - have Yoshi eat something and enter a checkpoint. Just before Yoshi's tongue returns to his mouth, get hit. In memory Yoshi's tongue position won't stop moving, causing values to be wiped, allowing for arbitrary code execution.

* Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins: Credits warp // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdEKlfdTyc8
 - get lots of objects on screen to get the game laggy and then rapidly pause. This wall cause the game to switch memory banks, and causing arbitrary code to be executed.

* Super Mario 64: Backwards Long Jump
 - get to the bottom of stairs, face the other way, jump and hold backwards and rapidly tap A. Mario will gain rapid speed, enough for him to clip through walls and go up bottomless staircases.

* Super Mario 64: MIPS clipping
 - MIPS can be dropped as you approach a door, drop him to clip into the door, grab him and turn around, drop him again and pick him up, you'll be on the other side of the door.

* Super Mario Sunshine: Rocket storage
 - get a rocket nozzle and head over to a ledge. Stand perpendicular to the ledge. Switch to the squirt nozzle. Go into side-step mode. While holding L, swap to the rocket nozzle and hold R before it clicks. Let go of L before it fires. Do not move around or jump while doing this. Repeat if you desire extra height. Now side-step off the ledge and you'll launch up in the air.

* Super Mario Sunshine: fruit clipping
 - using fruit you can flip through various walls. Examples include the roof of the Surf Cabana to get the Shine Sprite, and the Hotel Delfino wall to the room with the Shine Sprite.

* New Super Mario Bros. Wii // Yoshi berry crash
 - on World 1-3, eat the fifth berry and koopa troopa at the exact same time and the game will crash.

############################################################

Tales of Eternia

* Jump Cast Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SZc8cocpmo (warning: loud volume)
 - jumping and rapidly using shortcutted magic will rapid cast the spell. Great for speedruns and killing tough bosses

* Move Scroll Glitch
 - if your skills list has more than one page, you can use the scroll feature to gain access to skills you shouldn't have access to.

* Aurora Wall Glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhLeCB36Ajw
 - do Raijinken + Aurora Wall, then jump and do Aurora Sword in midair. This can let you do massive combo strikes.

* Canceller game freeze bug // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRfAxfu9sns
 - when using Max, use Canceller and then get hit. Then use Aurora Sword, which will freeze the game.

############################################################

Tetris:

* Kill Screen // http://meatfighter.com/nintendotetrisai/#The_Kill_Screen
 - the game uses a long complicated method of calculating score that isn't fully accurate. Once the game has reached around 1550 lines, the game takes longer than a frame (1/60th of a second) to calculate. This messes up the game, from the screen going black to the game resetting to various graphical glitches.

############################################################

The Last of Us: Left Behind

* Huge skip // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC0R-ugsS_0
 - crouch down into a corner
 - climb up onto that corner
 - angle both analogue sticks in a -45 degree angle (45 degrees counter-clockwise)
 - if done right you'll break through the collision
  ~ this glitch can get you from chapter 1 to 5, saving around 20 minutes in a speedrun

############################################################

The Outer Worlds

* Duplication glitch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HinLqYx0ees&
 - drop the items you want to duplicate on the wooden walkways near the spawn point in Edgewater. Fast travel to Edgewater. Pick up everything. Fast travel to Edgewater again. Those dropped items will be respawned there despite you having picked them up.
  ~ you can duplicate in other areas with elevated ground but this location is very close to a spawn point.
  ~ NOTE: duplicating too many items at once may cause lag and possible crashes.

############################################################

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

* Burnside out of bounds
 - go to the fence that has portable toilets. Go up to the part where the concrete meets the fence and wallride the fence and you might just squeeze through the gap and get out of bounds.

* Roswell out of bounds
 - go to the gate with wheels. Press up against it and try to wallride it and you might just pop through and get out of bounds.

* Skate upside down
 - in the San Francisco level, go to Hubba's Hideout (take a left at the starting hill). Build up speed and try and land on the fence part and your skater will be upside down. Hitting the ollie button undoes the glitch.

############################################################

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

* Career corruption // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teDECOMIx20
 - you can unlock every level in Career Mode by switching from the main menu to the skater select screen back and forth very fast. End result: a speedrun under a minute!
  ~ seems to be PC exclusive; on consoles the menus load too slow to do this glitch.

* Loop massive points
 - if you stand in one end of a loop, spin in circles, and then go through the loop, those rotations will be added onto the gap points, earning you massive points. Easy gold medal.

############################################################

Tony Hawks's Underground

* Buttslaps // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JD_-TdLeTl0
 - roll over a ledge or halfpipe and immediately mash the ollie button. With the right timing you'll be launched into the air. With luck you can do multiple buttslaps in a row for bonus height.
  ~ also works in THUG2 and THAW

############################################################

Tony Hawks's Underground 2

* Walk/Skate on water
 - jump onto water and pause the game at the exact time your feet touch the water. If timed correctly the game will let you set a restart. Unpause, let yourself bail, and then pause and go to your restart. You will spawn onto the water's surface, able to skate around out of bounds. If you jump the glitch will be undone.
  ~ also works on THAW

############################################################

Tony Hawk's American Wasteland

 ~ my god I wrote so cringey back then. I was going to include a ton of places to explore via corner glitch but I gave up in the end.

* Corner glitch
 - approach a corner and do a flip trick into the corner. Depending on the angle you can pop through the wall and be out of bounds.

* Skate Ranch out of bounds
 - go out of bounds and pause before you are put back in bounds. Select Set Restart. Then when you pause and select Go To Restart, you'll be out of bounds, free to explore. At times you'll be dumped back inbounds, so Set Restart often.

############################################################

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

* Crushing exploit // https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/topic/270741-crushing-trophy-exploit
 - beating the game on an easier difficulty setting, deleting your game data, start a new game, then using Chapter Select to beat the Epilogue will trick the game into thinking you beat the game on Crushing really fast and will give you both the speed run trophy and all the difficulty trophies.
  ~ this also works on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

* Sharpshooter trophy exploit // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLHfxEhPl5I
 - using the save file you made in the other glitch, give yourself unlimited ammo and bullet mode. Select an encounter, kill enemies until your hit ratio is above 70%. Start a new game. then Chapter Select the Epilogue on Crushing and beat it to effortlessly pop this trophy.
  ~ this also works on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

* Launching // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAcfBMkh-7A
 - roll into a sloped wedge while holding R1 and then roll again while holding L1 or holding Up on the D-Pad. Nate will be launched. Useful for speedruns and exploration.
  ~ the linked video has the tutorial and lots of launches.

* Airwalk // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxMuHx8_x2w
 - aim with R1 and then mash left and right while moving forward. You can stop mashing or aiming once Nate is walking on air. Aiming again or stopping will end the glitch. Due to the need to mash, you can use the Super Slow Motion cheat for an easier time.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

* Airwalk
 - go up to a ledge and aim with your pistol (L2). Press Right on the D-pad to get your rifle and move forward and open your journal (touchpad) during Nathan putting his pistol away and you should be walking on air.

* Grenade Airwalk
 - another way is to get a grenade ready (L1) the first time you prep it. If there is no half-second animation, throw the grenade and you'll get the animation for the next grenade. Go up to a ledge and aim with your pistol (L2). Press Right on the D-pad to get your rifle and move forward and hold L1 during Nathan putting his pistol away and you should be walking on air.

* Train Skip
 - at the beginning of chapter 13, stand at the very edge of a carriage. Aim into it and take cover (hit O). Move the left analogue stick to the right and then rotate it counter-clockwise back to the left in a semi-circle form. Repeat this and Nate will zip off the train. Don't touch any buttons and just wait. After three and a balf minutes for the train to begin another lap. Once this happens you'll start a cutscene. Press start and skip it and you'll be at the beginning of chapter 15.

* Journal launch
 - stand close to a ledge and aim with your rifle (or any long weapon). Move off the ledge and as soon as you see Nate stumble hit the journal button (touchpad). Nate will zip to the closest solid ground above him to read the journal.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

* Clipping through walls version 1
 - equip a big gun and stand against a wall (don't cover). Aim with L2 straight upward and fire your gun and roll into the wall. If done right Nate will clp through the wall.
   ~ example in chapter 22 // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y__TZpqX-Hg

 - cover against a wall and move the left analogue stick to the right and then rotate it counter-clockwise back to the left in a semi-circle form. Repeat this and Nate will clip through the wall. This doesn't work on many walls though.

* Cover Launch // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kj3tcROyQXc
 - head up to somewhere where you can cover. Aim with L2 in the direction you want to go, move forward a tad, tap Circle and then let go of L2. Nate will launch himself in that direction.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

* Airwalk // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv_f2Ir7xIo
 - approach a ledge that has a something you can grapple nearby. Roll up to the ledge and hit the journal button (touchpad) as his feet stagger and then hit R2 immediately afterwards. Now you can walk on air (and walk through things too).
  ~ there's not many places in the game that you can do this glitch however. Also unsure if patched.

* Swim out of bounds // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5yHuquRVak
 - in Chapter 12, if you moor your boat in shallow water (such as by a beach), jump into the water and swim into the narrow gap between the bottom of your boat and the sea bed, you'll be popped out of bounds, still swimming. You can use this glitch to skip right to the pirate hideout.
  ~ patched?

VVVVVV

* Skip to end of game with memory corruption // www.youtube.com/watch?v=cic_u3GyuZ8
 - During transitions, like cutscenes, the game state is changed from 0. In the first cutscene of the game, the game state is not 0. If the game is exited out of a cutscene, the game state is not reset to 0. When you reenter the game, it drops you off at the checkpoint affiliated with the game state. Then you go to a terminal, activate the save point and read from the terminal. Again, exit the game during the dialogue box to store the text. Reload the game and then teleport.  Some movements later, and that + the text storage data = jump to the end credits. Seriously, watch the video.

 - buy it all back

Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories

* Glitch cards // https://pastebin.com/EpKiCEx8
 - some glitch causes you to win the card #000 which has no name. The card added to your deck is the last card listed in your deck + 256. Forbidden Memories has 722 cards, so any value exceeding 722 will give you a card with random ATK and DEF, with a card name formed from random text.

* Suicidal AI // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDImlGfIbRA
 - the AI is already dumb, but for some reason the AI doesn't check a monster's current ATK, only its base ATK. Equipping magic cards to a monster won't change the AI's reaction; it will attack your beefed up beast and die.

Zelda II: The Adventures of Link

* Healer glitch // http://redcandle.us/Zelda_II:_The_Adventure_of_Link/The_Healer_Glitch
 - go to any Healer (speeddrunners tend to use the town of Rauru). Talk to the Healer on a particular pixel to begin her script and talk to her again at another exact pixel. The result will be the door to the house changing it's property, from a healing door to a door with the exit value of 00, the default value. Entering this door will transport Link to Glitch Town.

* Glitch Town // https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul0MUhNf3sc

 - this is the scene of the game with a value of 00, the default value and fail-safe to prevent crashing. Since this place was never meant to be accessed, it causes strange behaviour. This is because the exit value data slots are taken, so the game begins overwriting the data pertaining to Link's position, which thus affects the graphics and exit pointers.
    Speedrunners can use Glitch Town to their advantage:
 ~ exiting to the right of Glitch Town drops us off at the value subtracted by value of Rauru, which is Kings Tomb. This skips a portion of the game.
 ~ entering Glitch Town at least five times triggers the Scroll Lock glitch, which prevents the screen scrolling left in dungeons. This allows you to easily clear them by walking right until the screen scrolls then walk left and exit and the dungeon will be cleared.
 ~ using the Scroll Lock glitch allows one to bypass the barrier at the final dungeon, normally cleared by placing crystals obtained by clearing the other main dungeons.

Zool

* Credits warp
 - at the very start of the game, head left to the edge, turn around quickly and press the Up button at with specific timing and the game will send you to the credits. The speedrun record is under 10 seconds!
  ~ this works because pressing Up at the teetering animation crashes the game. As for why it takes you to the credits... I don't know.
