This is a unique take on a romance, worth it. Recommended.

After watching Hellsing Ultimate I just had to read this.

Carl Barks Disney Library: This isn't manga but it's some of the best damn comics out there.

Battle Royale: Angels' Border: A side-story to the classic Battle Royale story.
It is adapted from the novel rather than the manga.
It's pretty good but it's more for the fans of the original.
Battle Angel Alita: A recovered female cyborg is revived and remembers how to kick ass.
It has violence, love, sadness, and redemption.
This is a cyberpunk classic, the OVA and live action movie notwithstanding.
Akumetsu: A terrorist rebels against the corrupt Japanese government.
I like how OP the MC is. He kills and doesn't afraid of anything.

It's a battle zone of monsters and employees backstabbing each other.
It's ultraviolent and gritty, so I like it. Short but sweet.

Tintin: Breaking Free: It's not manga but it is a bootleg Tintin volume, so I checked it out.
Set in 1980s Britain, it is a tale of workers versus capitalism.
The amount of left-wing ideology in this is cringey. Not recommended.

20th Century Boys: A doomsday cult seeks to conquer the world through its destruction.
All the elements derive from the protagonist's childhood schemes.
This is a very good read. Recommended indeed.
Deathtopia: A guy gets eye surgery and it allows him to see the evilness gene in people.
This gets the attention of evil, and three hot chicks that fight evil.
This is a pretty good series, even if it uses thicc tits as a crutch.

It's an action thriller that jumps straight to the good stuff.

Once they escape they find a destroyed Japan.
There is darkness, dread, insanity, and cultists. Creppy jeepy.

After years of putting it off I gave it a try. It's not bad.
There's too many females, too much yaoi talk, too much filler, and no soul.
Shingetsutan Tsukihime: A teenage guy survives near-death and unlocks powers to easily cut things.
Then he gets caught up in a vampire war (as you do).
Lots of action and sweet moments. A worthwhile read.
Kurosagi: A young man becomes a swindler after a swindler ruins his family.
This is quite text-heavy, with lots of schemes and cat-and-mouse games.
It's a high IQ manga, good for those seeking a break from action.

Other transpirings are happening with her students. Can she cope?
This is alright but it does get pretty fucked up.

Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki: A manlet and a tall fit girl have a secret romantic relationship.
The main characters are likable but the pacing is a bit off-putting.
The ending is bad: it just ends suddenly with no real payoff.
Cloud: A young gifted hacker uses his skills to try and conquer the world.
He plays cat-and-mouse with the cops. It's alright but it suddenly ends.
SkyHigh: A guardian of the afterlife helps the souls of the dead.
The murder victims tend to possess their aggressors. Good story collection.
Do Not Say Mystery: A smart college student must think his way out of tricky situations.
The main character is a loser with no prospects and yet trouble finds him.

These are mainly POV stories and gags comics.
What's interesting is that these are officially licensed, not doujinshi.
Split Lover: A guy contains his feelings for a girl, likewise for him.
If dissatisfaction reaches 100%, then the Fission Syndrome makes them split.
This is an interesting premise for a romance story.

This naturally leads to misunderstandings, tension, and romance.
I feel like there are too many characters with not enough development.
Parasite in Love: A guy and teen girl meet but the parasites in their head makes them weird.
It's not so much they're in love but the parasites are to each other.
This is a pretty good adaption of the novel.
Plus Sized Elf: A male massage therapist meets an elf that's chubby from eating junk food.
They also meet other mythological thicc creatures.
This is a good inspirational manga that'll have you get healthy.
Mosquito War: Mosquitos become the dominant animal on Earth after a genetic mutation.
Their superior numbers and strength almost wipe out humanity.
This is a pretty good action manhwa but it's too silly at times.
Portus: A teen schoolgirl dies due to a video game urban legend.
The mystery gets interesting and then it turns dumb. I don't recommend.
Trillion Game: Two young men work together to acquire a trillion yen.
One is a confidence trickster, the other is a computer genius.
This is good stuff but the translators need to hurry up! Anime in 2024!

It's an uplifting story but it is quite a tearjerker.

From what I've researched it's pretty dead-on accurate.

This is honestly hilarious and worth a read.
I don't like the ending much; it's too abrupt with no real payoff.
Blue Phobia: A soldier is sent to guard a mine being hollowed out by prisoners.
The ore in this mine has great power but turns your skeleton to ore.
This is alright but it's a bit short and oddly paced.
Kansen Rettou: A deadly virus pandemic sweeps across Japan.
Much research makes this manga scientifically accurate and that's eerie.

This has plenty of psychology and drama. It's good.
Drifting Net Cafe: An internet cafe transports people to a mysterious place.
Cabin fever and lack of resources slowly drives them insane.
This is full of drama and psychological unwinding but it has bad pacing.

It turns out she's a manipulative sociopath.
This escapism for sad sacks gets pretty fucked up.
Blue Heaven: A luxury ship takes in a shipwrecked survivor of a massacre.
The survivor is bad news and a war onboard begins.
Bad Police: An ex-biker turned killer cowboy cop cleans the city of scum.
It's a slice of typical 90s manga where bloodshed was the name of the game.
Hajimete no Gal: A teen guy confesses to a popular girl and things go a bit awry.
She's a gyaru and loves teasing him for being a beta male nervous wreck.
This will scratch any 'big-breasted bimbo bitches' itch.
Dolls Code: Some teenagers get their body parts amputated and are forced to graduate.
This is alright but it seems rushed towards the end.
Drug On: The power of gods resides on a forbidden island.
Those who gain it have their wish granted, but hunters will stop them.
Himizu: A loser guy strives to make it in life but he gets dark thoughts.
His equally pathetic friend also gets into some trouble of his own.
This is alright but the ugly character design and themes may disappoint.
Superior Day: A man learns that his next door neighbour is a serial killer.
A hitman tasks him to kill his deadly neighbour, but twists abound.
This is an alright manwha, probably not worth your time.
My Wife Has No Emotion: A salaryman has a love affair with his robot maid.
It's wholesome with a dash of sadness.
It's charming and though-provoking, with feels to boot.

This is pretty good albeit short. If you like Holyland try this.

She likes him but isn't ready for their eventual future together.
This is cute stuff and the chapters are short and sweet.
Chiisai Gyaru: Slice of life of a shortstack gyaru.
The chapters are short and lewd, much like her.
This is one to keep an eye on.

You might think he'd be too OP but he meets his match against the Akatsuki.
This is pretty good stuff. Hopefully it comes out of hiatus.
