Tips

Archive.org:
* have two or more tabs open at once; one for searching text contents of magazines, one for websites
* enter the search terms in parenthesis to search only for those words
* you can use multiple search terms - game name, developer name - and when inside the magazine just eliminate one of the search terms to find the content
* while on the Wayback Machine, use Site Map to help find links
* have a app/addon that allows downloading embedded files for the rare chance you can download an archived video

Other tips:
* some LinkedIn profiles mention cancelled/unpublished games. You may need to make an account to see their profile though
* resumes and portfolios might also mention cancelled/unpublished games.
* try searching the names of the programmers/artists for websites or portfolios
* unpublished and way old 'to be announced' pretty much means cancelled
* search the developer's websites and the publisher's websites
* read the release schedule in archived magazines; they sometimes mention cancelled games
* use MobyGames to find staff list for companies and search with those names
