What makes a good remaster

What makes a good remaster

Remastered games are all the rage these days.
What makes a good remaster?
If the game simply has better resolution, models, and textures, it's not enough.

I'm not a graphics whore. I can play a cheaper original than an expensive remaster.
What a remaster needs to have:
* better framerate
* be the GOTY edition
* make sure all the GOTY DLC is also remastered too
* bug fixes (especially bad nasty glitches)
* new content

The new content part is important.
I can live with playing a cheap GOTY original than basically the same game in better detail.
Give us something NEW.

Here is a list of notable recent remastered games and if I think they are good remasters.
NOTE: it also includes some remakes.
