Young Olympians: Mythos / Saffire

Young Olympians: Mythos is a cancelled N64 game by Saffire, Inc.
It then became Saffire, a tech demo for the GameCube, PS2, and GameBoy Colour.

Expected release date: summer 2000, then 2001

Edge issue 82 (March 2000)

Saffire started off as a 3D action adventure game based on Greek mythology.
You could play as five different characters, each gods with their own powers.
The game appeared to be like a Tomb Raider game, mixing combat with puzzles.

These gods and their powers are:
Priscillia - controls thunder and lightning
Odysseus - heat and light
Melanie - beauty and charm
Damien - sleep
Lyssa - speed and future prediction

Nintendo Official Magazine UK issue 91 (April 2000)

Nintendo World issue 11 (April 2000)

64 Magazine Issue 41 (October 2000)

When the GameCube, then known as 'Project Dolphin' was announced, Saffire changed.
Now it was now simply 'Saffire', a 3D fighting game, for the GameCube and PS2.
This game too was cancelled. Two cancelled games in one entry, nice.

Saffire got turned into a short comic series. Link to read it is below.

Youngblood: Search And Destroy

Youngblood: Search And Destroy was a cancelled PC and PlayStation game by GT Interactive.
It was announced, began development, and was cancelled all in 1997.

Expected release date: September 1997, then November 1997, then 1998

Next Generation issue 31 (July 1997)

The game was going to be an isometric action RPG based on Rob Liefeld's work.
Does that include his penchant for impossibly curvy hips?

The release date got pushed back to 1998 due to the game being a buggy unstable mess.
Eventually they just gave up and cancelled the game outright.

Ultra Game Players issue 103 (November 1997)

PSM issue 3 (November 1997)

A demo for the PC version was released, such as with Computer World Gaming magazine issue 161 (December 1997).
